Haha "set in a lush green landscape" they dont know the area very well. It doesnt rain that much, gets hot (47 days of temperatures over 100 between June and August 31st), and traffic already sucks. How do I know ? Our DFW office is 7 miles south of there.

I thought the same thing…kinda a cost controlled evolution of Disney quest.

For anyone who thinks it can’t work…I invite you to take a look at the parking lot Next to the Oxford valley mall in langhorne, Pa next to the abandoned sears…

I know there's four Six Flags parks (unsurprising since Texas is where Six Flags first began) and a SeaWorld in San Antonio but I can't think of anything else that's super noteworthy there (apart from the landmarks like the Alamo and such).

I think this is a solid concept for the area. It seems much more a Legoland competitor vs. Disney, but that may prove a very smart thing. SFOT doesn't offer a ton of family options. This rounds out the DFW area quite nicely, which currently only has the one major park.

This makes a lot of sense. Six Flags:OT has very few family friendly rides. Family will small kids won't have to fight for space with the punk kids getting into brawls any longer at Six Flags. An entire park with rides they will enjoy.

I was born in the area in 1974 and I have never seen a tornado in person or large hail. Possibility of severe weather isnt that big of a factor. It happens, but nothing to be taken into consideration when making a business decision.

This is good. The more Uni spreads its wings and tries to take the crown the more Disney will be forced to find more notes down the side of the sofa to pay for improvements and, dare I say it, a 5th gate (yeah I know, I know).
