Universal and IOA 3-17-07

We spent a few hours at Universal just walking around on St Patrick's Day. It was pretty busy as it was spring break, St Patrick's Day, and a Mardi Gras day. They are doing some painting on the wharf area around MiB painting it from grey to tan. MiB looked really nice (was it recently painted?). Took a few pictures around Back to the Future and saw the Face Characters around the building.

does anyone hear the Three's Company song when they see this picture......"Come on knock on my door...."

We like to kid that they can never keep both flames burning...

Nice photos! I've always wondered what that tower in front of MIB is/was for. Anyone know?

The whole setup (retro-World's Fair setting, "The Universe and You") is made to be a "cover" for the MIB training facility. I guess the towers are supposed to be leftover from the World's Fair.

If you remember those towers were in the MiB movie. The bug alien thing tried to use one to escape the planet as it was a hidden flying saucer.
