Yes, but Legacy acquired the non-exclusive rights through Time-Warner, most likely. They, therefore, have the right to act as a third party and extend those rights to anyone they want without the approval of Time-Warner.
Can't spin it to fit your post... The article is wrong, you were wrong for going with their incorrect statements... Gotta suck it up, accept you were wrong... and let it go... The only way Universal can get DC IP in their parks is through a deal with Warner Bros which OWNS the IP... Legendary does not so this deal does not give Universal the rights... Why do I feel like half the members here are as thick as the walls in Fort Knox?

Maybe the writer of this was thinking of Inception...he was in a dream within a dream that Universal gained the rights to DC.

If they did, it is a logical step in the what I call "Comics Rights Aquisition Wars". But, I feel that Disney has its own library to capitalize on. Yes owning Marvel and Star Wars is a huge thing. UNI has HP, some of Marvel, Transformers, and maybe in the future DC stuff. I just want each company to do really great things with the comics. Marvel has always been my favorite, DC ehh.

In theory, if the OBJ has this right (which they may not), this would be a logical move and help clear the way for all of Marvel's eggs to be reassembled in the Disney basket, where it could co-inhabit with charcters from LucasFilm, Pixar, Henson, etc.

They don't. The analyst they're quoting is full of it. Six Flags has exclusive US rights to the Warner library, which includes all Legendary Pictures films released through them, plus all of DC and Looney Tunes. Uni has Marvel in perpetuity, something Six Flags can't claim with DC - WDW is NEVER getting Marvel.

Good LORD.

I don't see Uni letting go just yet. Disney is unable to capitalize on Ironman and Avengers right now on the east coast for theme park attractions. By the time Uni does let go, the time will have passed.
