Undeveloped CC land

With so much undeveloped land on castaway cay, what do u think they will do with it in the future? What would u do with it if u were in charge of designing/planning of the island? There is so much undeveloped land on the island that there is plenty of possibilities.

I'll bite. As part of a cruise, limited to one day, focused on beachy type stuff that is already there, and given the general lack of expansion in the P&R area (at least in the US market), I would think that nothing would or should be done.

It's kinda hard to wish for more stuff be developed. If they did then there'd need to be support services to those parts of the island like transportation, food/beverage, etc. I think anything more opens a can of worms that would be just too much. I think CC is good how it is. Unless more ships are going to dock at the same time, no need. Maybe a few more cabanas but I'm not sure where they could possibly shoe-horn them in without setting up another little cluster or village. But then you'd need all the support stuff for them which opens that can of worms again.

Any idea how much of it is supposed to be preserve and how much if any is available to be used to build?

I'd say maybe extend the bike and running trails, but I wouldn't expand it for building development.

I like this. a dirt bike path around the shoreline would be nice.

But then you would get people who think it is an invitation to go swimming in a non-monitored area. (Swimming or other activities)

Just putting an idea out there that will never happen but would be awesome would be horse back riding. U already have people living on the island that could take care of them. Just build a stable and their set. Sure they will need supplies but they already get stuff delivered.

Don't hate the thought, just thinking outside the box!

More bike and hike trails would be my choice, perhaps with some interpretive nature guideposts, etc. I found myself wanting to explore more of the island than the existing trails would allow.

If you want more and different experiences, horseback riding on the beach, segway tours (preferably off-road), a bigger playground/spray park for kids are all possibilities. If they want to go for something really different and new for a private island, expand the stays into the night and have a campfire-type show (Mickey's Backyard BBQ-esque) on a new section of the beach.

Zip lining would be cool... Over the tree tops of castaway cay. I don't think the island really needs to be developed... It's a nice place just for relaxation and to stop and take it all in. What would be cool would be to have a giant fireworks rig set up there and have a storyline for pirates night that at nighttime the island comes alive with pirates - they could then battle with the ship... But I figure that would be an Eco nightmare and fire hazard! You can't rent out burned down cabanas! ;)

Absolutely love the idea of zip lining, very easy add to the island and people would eat that up. They could do that very easy and cheap and would be awesome.

Another thought would be tree house cabanas or cabanas on stilts, I think that could be something that would be really cool and popular. Imagine the views that you would have.

There goes a rumour that as soon as the sun sets, the island is populated by a million mosquitos. And that's the reason why they never would have guests there after dark.

I have heard that too, but that is not something that is too hard to manage. I suspect that once you wiped out the native mosquito population there would be no more arriving either.
