Undercover Tourist

Hi,
I'm getting ready to book a trip this weekend for June. Has anyon ever used Undercover Tourist to buy tickets? The MouseSavers.com site mentions they send out a newsletter with an awesome link to UT for great deals on tickets. Does anyone know how good the deals are through the newsletter? I signed up but they only send them out on the 15th and of course today is the 16th!! =(

I've used Undercover Tourist for our last two trips to WDW. I chose the physical tickets via snail mail and received them within a week both times. Added them to MDE with no problem. I even upgraded from 5-day to 6-day at the hotel without zero hassle.

I just compared the UT regular rates to their Mousesavers rates, and the extra savings are very negligible (around $1 per ticket).

What he said. Mousesavers only saves you $1 a ticket. UT can save money on multi-day tickets and they have specials like 5 days for the price of 4. I've used them and was happy with the service. If you're looking for a 1 or 2 day ticket, Disney is the cheapest. UT only saves money on the 4+ day tickets.

Thanks everyone! I'm heading to AAA tomorrow to see what deals they offer. If they aren't cheaper, I might go ahead and try UT for the tickets. I would need 10 days for park tickets. Thanks for letting me know about the MouseSaver discount too!

If they're delivered via email, you can link ticket numbers and book FP but you'll have to go to will call to pick up your tickets at the park. Snail mail you get the actual tickets.

Are you sure about this @JourneysEnd? We've used the email option numerous times and never had to pick up tickets from will call. All we've done is linked the ticket number in the email to our MDE account.

If you just got e-tickets and linked them the MDX acct (using only your magic bands)--would you even need the hard tickets? Has anyone had any issues with getting the parks and having problems with their magic bands not accepting the e-tickets despite linking them? Do people carry both a hard ticket AND a magic band?? I'm one who feels the need to be prepared for EVERYTHING and feels the need to be prepared to panic :arghh: Up until I read this post I had only planned to get e-tickets so I wouldn't have to be bothered with carrying anything around! Hmmm, maybe I should rethink this??

So you just used magic bands? If they mail tickets you also have hard tickets which you need if you don't have bands.

Yes, we just linked the ticket codes in the email to our MDE profiles and scanned our Magic Bands at the gate. No hard tickets.

I'm there again at the end of the month and while I'm now an AP holder, my friend used UT for her ticket - this is what the email says:

"Don't forget: You may add this E-Ticket to your MagicBand and go straight to the gate and onto the rides. If you do not have a MagicBand, you must exchange this E-Ticket at will call/guest relations or a sales location (ticket booth) for a RF-enabled ticket before admission. You may link this E-Ticket to My Disney Experience for FastPass+ reservations before will call exchange."

So looks like as long as you have use of a Magic Band, you just link and go. If you don't, then @JourneysEnd is correct, you'd be able to choose FP beforehand online but would need to obtain a hard ticket from will call before entering the park.

I am the overly paranoid who likes to carry confirmation printouts along with hard tickets or whatever else I've been given in case something doesn't work, but I will say that I have used UT dozens of times, and never had a linking issue. They are my go-to to recommend to friends and family traveling and those that have used it have also never had an issue.

Whether you receive a hard ticket via snail mail or a ticket code through email, the linking process to your MDE account is the same. It basically comes down to how fast you need your tickets - if you have time to receive them through snail mail, then by all means. If not, use the email option.

Just be sure to always double check the prices. For example, I was considering using Reserve Orlando this time around, but when I checked on the actual Disney World site, I found their prices were actually cheaper believe it or not.

If by chance you haven't purchased tickets yet...check out UT, Orlandofuntickets.com, Mapleleaftickets.com and compare with Disney site...like Tim stated, sometimes Disney site is cheaper!

UT's ticket prices include the tax. Disney's don't. I have bought e-tickets from UT and got them within a couple of minutes of purchasing. I added them to My Disney Experience. Had no problem at the gates. The tickets were attached to the magic bands.

If you can get tickets through Tickets at Work...HUGE savings, even over UT. I thought they'd be comparable but just checked out ticket deals and the savings were crazy!
