I did think of you and your cochlear experience when I saw him. He could really use some sort of device that could transmit sound without the permanent aspect of the cochlear.

It's really just a flexible silicon tube that carries sound from an earbud speaker.
They work just like normal earbuds and you can plug them into anything that takes headphones.

considering some of the hearing aids are tiny. I'm surprised they haven't invented a innercannal Bluetooth/wireless communicator already(instead of that nasty white/transparent "agent" style hear piece)

not on my case.. my device uses an antenna that attaches to my cranium via a magnet to wireless pass the sound to the implant part.

You can tell the undercover security by the fact that they are the only adults wearing Mickey ears... No actual adult tourist would buy those over priced things let alone wear them in the hot Florida sun... but the security does because it is another way to try and convince kids to hound their parents into buying them some too.
I wearing mine daily when there and am not security . also myself and wife wore them constantly on our honeymoon
