if I knew I wouldn't tell you
I know many of them that work the Explosive Detector side of the house. They are a good group of people.
They would come out to search suspicious packages and make their usual rounds. On occasion, they would be seen at the turnstiles. Now, they want them to be highly visible. First, its the "you look too aggressive" mantra, now, "we want you out for deterrence" mantra.I saw them in action a lot last December. Nice puppies. Good handlers.
Interesting that they're now intentionally being more visible after years of purposely being discreet.
I wish that Disney would install more metal detectors so that all guests would get scanned. Six Flags at home has been using them for years now. It is always nice to know that security is everywhere at Disney and it is especially good to have many of them visible as a deterrent to would be troublemakers.

You can tell the undercover security by the fact that they are the only adults wearing Mickey ears... No actual adult tourist would buy those over priced things let alone wear them in the hot Florida sun... but the security does because it is another way to try and convince kids to hound their parents into buying them some too.I am asking to get a little bit more information for an article I am writing. I am also curious since we saw so many police dogs in the park a few weeks ago!
thats kinda half trueJust like you'll find in major cities, there are visible security efforts such as bag checks and heavily armed police which act as the 'show of force'. Then there is a whole layer of undercover and unseen security measures which are the most effective.
Edit: as a student journalist you shouldn't look for unverifiable information on a blog or forum. The Internet in general is filled with half truths and false information.

It is suppose to be "The Happiest place on Earth"I saw sheriff's cars at the entrance of the parks but no dogs at all during my trip the week of 12-14...that was the week some fool tried to get in with a gun.. I believe.. I really notice a lot of things.. and I did see one selfie stick and I didn't say anything.. but I have never noticed an under cover cop at the parks.. a bit of arrogance from the cute dancer at the MGM dance party .. but no under cover security.. I know for a fact that they always watch you.. we got yelled at for being an old married couple and being too playful on the Transit authority.. hey we were alone.. we love each other still after 35 years and we were just having a magical time..
What I wrote is fully true. Don't care if you believe it.
we were having a magical day.. they say make the magic happen..It is suppose to be "The Happiest place on Earth"
Yes, but at some Six Flags parks, you are just as likely to be attacked by an employee as you are a fellow guest.I wish that Disney would install more metal detectors so that all guests would get scanned. Six Flags at home has been using them for years now.
Saw one last week sitting against the entrance/exit area railing post fireworks.I was in the middle of a store when an "incident" occurred. Let's just say that several casually dressed individuals quickly appeared, followed shortly by numerous uniformed security and Uniformed police. The speed was beyond amazing.
Funny thing... I was on a Disney cruise a while back. I am a pretty big guy, have short hair, and when I wear my headphones, which are black earbuds, run them down through my t-shirt so they don't get snagged and rip my ears off. On the last night at the cruise, had a couple come up and say they had me pegged all week as undercover security. I just did the shhh sign. They got with the program....
Id probably bend easier since I have a hearing aid lol.Saw one last week sitting against the entrance/exit area railing post fireworks.
Baseball cap, camouflage cargo shorts, jacket, and an earpiece with the squiggly white cord running into his shirt collar.
I did think of you and your cochlear experience when I saw him. He could really use some sort of device that could transmit sound without the permanent aspect of the cochlear.Id probably bend easier since I have a hearing aid lip.
