Under the Sea update

Agree, along with a couple other areas that are horribly lacking, such as when you turn to go backwords. But I think what you see is what you get, theres no more to be added. The flotsom jetsam segment would have been so much better had it been a larger space with the light effect thats on the left side, also be inlcuded on the right side and over head, but the right side is just black walls and junk. Theres just something that bugs me how they will spend millions on queues but cheap out on the actual attraction and do as little as possible.
With that being said its a nice little ride but doesnt go beyond nice.

I found it interesting that there is a ton of wide walking space along the entire ride route on the sides of the shells, is this for new acessibility codes or something?

The concept art/work didn't have these two specific deficiencies.

The descent scene had these neat look twisty seaweed things, i.e. twisted metal but it sort of twisted around itself and look just like seaweed moving around with the current, (powered by motors obviously). Look great, can't believe they didn't use it everywhere.

The transition to Ursula lair was supposed to have some rocks, and lighting for a good span, probably some creepy music too, I agree that it is way too abrupt as is.

It does go backwards and sideways up and down hills. Just like HM.

For people who don't know, the "backwards" section of HM is you the guest falling out of the attic window. You see the graveyard on your left, and there are trees and an animatronic bird. Mermaid doesn't have an animatronic raven, they went with a screen, and it is enclose, you don't get a view of the "Under the Sea scene", or much anything else.

After you fall out of the window on HM, you are actually supposed to be dead and have turned into a ghost, hence the look of horror on the grave digger's face when he looks at the doombuggies pass by . . . he is actually terrified of you as you are a ghost!
