Please consider the following...

Crowds, Weather, Special Events, Etc.

Early December. Crowds are fairly light, the weather is cool, and the Christmas decorations and special events are happening. That time of year just has an even more magical feel for me. :xmas:

Had a hard time choosing between Oct and Dec. I love Halloween and Christmas and their respective Magic Kingdom parties. Both months have great weather and usually smaller crowds, (however this past Oct was quite busy). Due to my kids being out a week of school in Oct., it makes a great trip.

More specifically last week of December, first week of Jan.

Extreme late park hours.
Nice weather--sunny and 70s low 80s
Billions of decorations.
extra magic of Christmas and New Years
Then it calms down after New Years

I'm hooked on this time frame!

This is what I would choose. I got a small taste of the Christmas decorations when we went in November one year. They had just started putting decorations up on our last day at the park. I have always wanted to either go for my birthday on the 7th or actually celebrate Christmas there with my immediate family. I know it would be more crowded at Christmas, but I want to experience that at least once.

Sadly, all the mild weather/mild crowd times always seem to fall when I'm right in the middle of teaching school. Can I get a sub so I can go to Disney World? ;)

I like March because the weather is always nasty in Michigan, and often nice in FLA. Part of the apeal for me is getting away from winter here. Dec and Jan are nice the few times I went, but then it was a long winter with nothing to look forward too. May was nice, but it was already nice here.

Aug was not nice, way too much rain and way too hot.

The first two weeks in December. The weather is great, there are short waits, and the Christmas Decorations are wonderful. I'm gonna miss all that when I go to Grad Nite this year with a bunch of a high school seniors at the end of April.

October crowds?

I have been both, in October and March. In my experience, the crowds seemed a lot lighter in October. We are planning another trip in the middld of October this year. :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: I was hoping that the crowds will be light again this year. Any news on why that wouldn't be so?

Also, why is it so difficult to book a breakfast at Cinderella's royal table? From what I understand, people book this breakfast and sell it to someone else. Is this correct? Do they actually allow people to scalp their breakfast reservations? We will have 8 children in our party, ranging from 1 to 8. :brick: What would be the best character breakfast/dinner for all of them? We were thinking about Mickey's backyard barbeque at Fort Wilderness. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We used to go in early December. The crowds were light, the weather was nice, and the Christmas decorations were everywhere. When I got into high school, pulling me out of school for a week wasn't an option with the heavier class load, so we ended up going for Spring Break in March of 2000. It was a lot busier then, and we didn't get to go on ALL the stuff we wanted to, but most of it we did get on. Right now we're toying with the idea of going next January 4-14. The hotel prices off-site drop on the 4th, and I am off from college for most of January. Hopefully it'll be nice and light crowd wise, because I'll be bringing my girlfriend who will be a WDW first-timer!!

I've gone for November (late) as the decorations are up and you guys in the USA have Thanksgiving which a great holiday to witness if you're not used to it! We have Guy Fawkes Night on Nov 5th in which we celebrate the Houses of Parliament not getting blown up by Guy Fawkes......yes I know the British are strange! :p

This December will be our third XMas trip to WDW and I love this time. We usually go the first or second week. The XMas party and all the decoration are all there so it's the best time to me.

I picked Dec as long as it is before the 20th/21st date. All the decorations and feelings of the season without the crowds. Perfect combo if you ask me!! Parks aren't open as late as we would like but that's OK, Osborne Family Lights and Candlelight Processional along with Mickey's Christmas Party more than make up for it!

Definitely September. The weather is still hot, so you can still enjoy the water parks, but it's not so hot that you are uncomfortable. It's actually very pleasant. There are no crowds and no lines.
