Ok,I'll tell you why I don't fly Virgin.Saw the TV adverts, saw the babes, whoo Hoo,someone turn on the air con, then I saw the Virgin staff at Glasgow :eek:it's the Nanny Mc Phee parade.:ROFLOL:Only trying to break the ice,so let's kiss & make up,me first.XXX.:ROFLOL:

The GLA staff used to be quite nice, not seen them since they moved to Terminal 2 or as its known more commonly 'the tattie shed'. Once your on the plane though it is a different story ;) Not too sure if it is based Virgin staff or servisair now or staff they still fly up from Manchester and Gatwick as they did to begin with.

US Airways certainly don't have the youngest staff or as easy on the eye as Virgin crewt, but as pleasant as any and good at what they do.

Hmm.

Well I've read your blogs Stuart, very interesting, you either work for Virgin or the airline industry,or you have a great knowledge of airline fleets.Or maybe Iam way off, anyway I do not have that much to drink on the plane, honest,a bottle of champagne which my DW drinks most of,and a small brandy for the Atlantic crossing.

It's a Tradition,Honest!

I don't normally drink brandy but my doctor[ good on him] said it's good to calm the nerves, not the best of flyers.P.S.it's just the miniature bottle that I have, not the 70cl.:ROFLOL:

Here is what ye need to know!

This often happens on wdw uk's site!

Usually the problem is that 1 date during your stay will show up unavsilable thus the whole stay will be unavailable!

Its often happened me, just give it s few days or a week and it should open again

The Virgin plane issue as I'm sure you've read now was a faulty alarm system. No smoke. No fire. Just over the top passengers looking for 15 minutes of fame and stupid media outlets not waiting for facts.

We've flown with Virgin from MAN to MCO for 6 years now, and have to say this year it's cheaper than ever. Try a fly drive and sort out the accommodation yourself. For 3 weeks later this year, including a car bumped up to SUV and all taxes it's costing less than 2 weeks at the CBR in 2001 did. Even in bucket class we don't have a bad thing to say about the airline. And the 330 is a beautiful plane.

It does help if you book online during the January sale. And remember a lot of what you pay is now government tax, not airlines putting prices up to stupid levels. 45% of our seat ticket is actually for the seat.

Awesome.

Image gallery for the new Thomson 787 which will be flying to Orlando from next year and which will also mercifully come in a new livery replacing their horrid scheme they have just now.

I've linked to the gallery, but you'll see the release about whats going to be offered as well.

Cheers Stuart,I read about the Dreamliner last year.photos look super.Question! Will Flythomascook be introducing this baby in their fleet, and will Thomson just be using the Dreamliner from Manchester to Orlando only.we :wave:used to fly with First Choice until they merged with Thomsons this year as the prices went thro the roof from Glasgow,so we opted for TC And saved a fortune.

No to thomas cook - for now anyway, mind you they are in a poorish state. Yes to thomson flying it out of glasgow, so good news there. As for First Choice, have they not gone all inclusive for their packages, where as Thomson still do normal packages, hence the price increase? Surely not as bad as what Virgin is out of glasgow these days!

Yes,FC now do only AI,as far as virgin goes, yes they are much dearer out of Glasgow, friends of ours in the village have opted for a Manchester flight with Cosmos, can't remember who the flight is with, but they upgraded their seats as they only had a 31" seat pitch. Two of the party of seven are over six foot, and yes TC had to get bail to save themselves.

I just booked for me and my sister to go in January 2013 staying at OKW with free dining and the extra $200 dollars. Never stayed at this resort or gone this time of year. We normally go in August and stay at POFQ, which we are doing this year. I'm so excited but don't what to expect from the resort or the weather/level of crowds. I'm hoping to do the marathon while i'm there aswell, need to book that in the next few days :)
