I am sitting here organizing my travel stuff and I checked TP and so much has changed on the crowd tracker for my 10 park days. I never got any emails from them. Best parks and avoid have changed on more than a few of the days. Parks have jumped from 1.1 and best to 6.2 and avoid.. ahhh!!!

As the folks at touringplans.com will tell you, a good plan is much more important than the "best days" stuff.

The whole "best days" thing is way overblown. If you aren't taking advantage of EMH, skip that park. Otherwise, don't worry. It's just not a big deal at all.

A good plan is the way to avoid lines.

I have to say for my stay the 8th - 14th look awesome!
However as other posters have said I will take this data with a grain of salt. I aint worried bout no crowds.

Touring plans is like the weather. The only report you should even remotely count on is the one published the day before you leave. Also a 6.2 is not that bad in the grand scheme of things.
I agree. Anything at about a 6 or below is fine, more than manageable. 7's & 8's start to get crowded. 9's & 10's, well let's not discuss that.

I like going to a park on the day after it has evening EMH. Crowds always seem light for the entire morning.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. When went last summer, TP listed our days between 7s and 9s. I was totally shocked b/c the crowds felt comparable to much lighter than our previous trip- where crowd levels were between 1.8-7.6. If I do factor any of this stuff into my plans...I use the free info on Easy WDW...found it to be more reliable.

I'm with Shookie...you are a WDW veteran Alison and will totally run circles around the clueless noobs wandering aimlessly in the parks.

Remember the mantra...Early to the gate, leave by 1, rest and return! Keep repeating that and you'll be fine.

Also, be sure to yell "WDW discontinued the Fast Passes??" as you sprint to Toy Story Midway Mania. Might not hurt to loudly exclaim..."Justin Bieber is at Epcot today!!" and you enter Main Street at MK. :D

yep and isn't there a Run Disney event that may bring people in early? Oh well..it doesn't change my plans, but it def is a touch frustrating when you make plans so far out due to 180 days nonsense and it changes!

That's actually what I'm going down there for is the run Disney event it's not until the 29th so not sure how early people will head out for it...maybe a week before? I'm not getting there until the 26th but I know a few people will be there a few days before me

I don't really use touring plans any more, they always start changing their numbers and recommendations at the last minute. I would check out easywdw.com, I like the explanations he uses for the parks he recommends.

Be optimistic. You never know until you get there. We went at Easter this past year and I was DREADING even going based on TP but we couldn't believe how wrong the estimates about crowds were. We had a great time with no problems. Just play it smart when you get there with reagrds to Magic Hours, etc. and you'll be fine. Have fun!

They gave me overall scores for the parks and they all are 5 and below during my trip, so I'm not sure how valuable the data is. However, someone that's spent that much time data-mining should probably be rewarded for their efforts.

I always avoid the parks during their peaks (Christmas, Easter). I've gone during Holiday weekends like this past Memorial and Veterans. The best piece of advice I can offer is get their early. We get to the park for rope drop and try to go on a couple of the bigger rides then work the fast passes a little and we do everything we want. That's how I do it and it works for me.

This is good to hear...have a trip booked next year for Easter weekend into the first week of April

I am going in late November/early December. After they announced the opening for FW, December 5-8 changed dramaticly. I didn't change anything but going from a 1.5 to a 6 means more "oblivions" in the parks!

Buy the book and you get membership. As others have said, you're a Disney vet so I wouldn't get too worried. I use the crowd estimates as a guide but I try to be flexible. It can be difficult, at times, to tell the difference between a 4 and an 8 at times.

I agree with your UGH! I had never heard of this easywdw.com and now that I've checked it out, their best park and avoid park choices are exactly opposite of touring plans.com! I saw some of you say the easywdw is more reliable and that TP changes their predictions at the last minute????? I have time...would you try to rearrange our dining ressies? Trip begins Dec 8th and I know the crowds will be not be crazy then anyway but we are always chasing the magical atmosphere of our first trip (1994). The parks were empty and even Peter Pan was walk on all day long! It was easy to get pics with no one in the background! So, we are really after the least crowded parks on this trip!!
