So I am walking through Tomorrowland looking at the plain awful Stitch show when I feel a bump and a rustle of paper.

I look towards it and it is an Imagineer with his maroon hard hat walking towards SM with the plans hanging out of his bag...

He gave me a quick 'Sorry' and was off....arrrrr....nothing I really could have done, but why couldn't I have knocked them on the ground where they spilled open....

uggghhhh.....

This sorta brings up an interesting question:

If you could find out the "secret plans" for SM, would you want to? I'd be really torn, I remember not really wanting to know all the new stuff at HM when it was redone until after I rode it for myself. Kinda spoils the element of surprise...doesn't it?

Hmmmm.... So an imagineer with the secret plans to Space Mountain was just strolling through the park on his way to continue work on Space Mountain? Wouldn't it make more sense for him to be accessing his work area from the backstage entrance? Why do I find this tale a bit hard to swallow?? :hammer:

Oh, yes. No question.
I would want to, and have been trying to for over a year.

How are they keeping such a tight lid on this one? in the past it seems things (small or not) have almost always been leaked out someway. Noone has any clue whats going on for SM.

haha, he probably would've tackled you if you tried to sneak a glance at them. I would've wanted to know too. I actually forgot to watch the new Stitch show last week....now that you mention it....

You blew it.

You should have tackled him from behind, gave him a quick 'sorry', grabbed the plans, hollered at your significant other to hold him down for as long as possible, grabbed digital camera, sprinted up the red path towards Toon Town, found the nearest bathroom stall, snapped as many photos as humanly possible, swallowed the memory card before Security arrived, and mailed the card to Lee from Disney jail.

What were you thinking?

All the break rooms and cafeteria's are backstage thataway, as well as a parking lot. Makes perfect sense. It's not uncommon to see Imagineers walking around, they can't just beam down from Glendale into backstage areas only...

I will be going to MK tomorrow.I'm gonna try to find an imagineer and pretend to drop 5 bucks and he picks it up for me and then I pull the plans out of his pocket, taking a picture of it with my iPhone and safely putting the plans back into his pocket! It's all part of the plan.No more talking.I'm about to get of dueling dragons.Bye!:D

The backstage access is being use to move in equipment. Let me know if you need anything else explained.

It is possible; the Utilidor in this area runs from under Buzz to under the old AE entrance area. Happened to me once in Epcot last year - the fact I was trying to focus my camera on the (open) plans is probably the reason why they rolled them up so quickly. And yes, it involved the canopies.

And to me...JII last year!:D Didn't see anything, but they were looking at large papers..

It's pretty awesome!

Canopies, now...?;)
