Greetings all from the Geek Labs

The AP is carrying a small story this morning

The U.S. Postal Service announced Thursday, June 3, 2004 that it will release a set of four postage stamps and other mail products featuring Disney characters will be issued June 23. First day of issue ceremonies for the stamps featuring Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and other characters will be at the Disneyland amusement park in Anaheim, Calif.

No word yet on WDW getting the stamps and other postal items but I would imagine so

EDIT I changed the stamp image link to the US Post Offices link to prevent the images for being used as bootleg stamps (note the black line on the 37)

No, No ! Not an Eisner stamp. That would be a waste of 37 cents. It wouldn't deliver ... :D

An Eisner stamp will always be around but never be there when you need it. Will serve great purposes except the purpose it was intended for. Would be great to look at but useless to talk to and the glue on the back would be great, you would never be able to remove it... :hammer:

Let's stick to "real" Disney characters... hehe

I believe that they are releasing three sets of stamps. The four you show above are the first set, the "friendship" set. I forget what the other two sets are or when they'll be released, but keep an eye out for them!

I can't wait to get these. I used to be a stamp collector as a kid and still like them. They are Disney stamps, so a must have for me.

I don't know. I could think of a few places I'd stick an Eisner stamp ;)

"We cannot put the face of a person on a stamp unless said person is deceased. My suggestion, therefore, is that you drop dead."
-- Letter written, but never mailed, by U.S.Postmaster General J.
Edward Day, in response to a citizen who suggested that his own
likeness be immortalized on a postage stamp, 1962.

Perhaps someone can pass this information along to Roy and Stan.

Now THAT's an awesome idea! I'll have to stock up for my (distant) wedding!
