I haven't been to either in a few years and can't remember - which is better for adults (more thrill slides)?

WDWToda has a good episode on Water Parks if you've never done them before. I think its this one:

Agreed...Thrills and slides=Blizzard Beach

But a more relaxed atmosphere...and still some fun slides? I will take Typh over Blizzard!

<My favorites are all at Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach anyday. You can't beat the relaxed atmopshere and the lush tropical environment. Plus TL has places that you can explore on foot, like the trail that runs up Mt. Mayday. Blizzard lacks the little details like that.

Typhoon Lagoon fits me and the DWF a whole lot more. We love the laid back atmosphere the wave pool, the feeling of all the gardens, and enjoy the slides. Blizzard beach is nice but to me a day in the water park is considered down time to relax from walking in all the parks and enjoy a day of water activities in a water park Disney style. Plus floating over the sharks and fish is a really neat thing to do and we alsways love having a stupid ol hot dog lunch fixen's at a laid back counter. Also love getting the big refillable mug to drink from all day long. I mentioned it before, but I really love the wave pool and have a ton of fun it it. The Mrs and I always have a blast at typhoon Lagoon and can always be seen truly relaxed with a smile on our face all day long.

it depends
if you want more slides go to Blizzard Beach
but if you want some slides but also want to do something relaxing go to Typhoon Laggoon
because blizzard beach has summit plummit and other huge slides where as typhoon lagoon has crush 'n gusher, humunga kowabunga, shark reef, and the wave pool with the +5 ft wave

More thrilling rides? Blizzard Beach, if not mainly for Summit Plummit.

The park that is the most well done, relaxing, and well themed? Typhoon Lagoon by far! Blizzard Beach feels "cheap" in a way, I don't know exactly why, but Typhoon Lagoon is "leagues" ahead of it! /pun

EDIT: The wave pool at Typhoon makes it worth the visit, I would rather go there anyday.

Yes
Blizzard Beach has the potential to be more fun...but it is a lot of work to have that fun...Its a constant climbing of stairs to hit those slides.

Typhoon is fun just killing 2 hours fighting waves. Floating in the shark reef, and smashing your bottom on Crush N Gusher.

If I could only choose 1 I would probably choose TL. Im not really sure though.

Thanks for the replies!

This is a tough choice. It is not for me - my husband and I are going to WDW with his best friend and his best friend's girlfriend. One day the boys are going to do a water park while we go to the spa at the GF. Neither of them have been to either water park so I'm trying to figure out which park 2 guys would like best.

Typhoon for me as well. The lazy river and the wave pool could only be there and it would still be a great park. What does it take like 20 minutes to get around the lazy river without an early exit? It's just great.

The wave pool is like none you'll ever see either. I scoffed at the idea that a "wave" pool could knock down a 250lb. man like me. When I heard the alarm go off and saw the big tidal wave come our way I immediately swam the opposite way only to be knocked down. I had to retrieve my sunglasses about 15 feet away from me. From then on I was hooked :sohappy:

There are still good slides as well and the lineups just peel through. But I personally find the theming to be spectacular. You never for a second think you are at a waterpark. You think you are in a tropical environment. If you go to a place in Orlando like Wet and Wild you can look out and see International Drive and about a million cars going by. Typhoon has that secluded feel to it
