two quick questions

My family is still trying to decide if we want to buy into the DVC (heavily leaning towards yes). However, I had two quick questions:

1) Let's say I buy 175 points at Saratoga Springs, and 50 at Animal Kingdom (from the resale market), for a total of 225 points. When it comes time to book our stay, could we book a full week at either resort in the 11 month time frame, or am I limited to the number of points I have at each resort (e.g. 11 months out a full week room at Animal Kingdom is 208 points, can I book the full week 11 months before, or could I only book up to 50 points worth, and then have to wait until 6 months before to book the rest).

2) Kind of tied to question 1. Let's say I just buy 220 points at Saratoga and book a room (at Saratoga) 11 months in advance. Could I then change that reservation if I can get a room at the Animal Kingdom during the 6 month window, or am I "locked in" to the original reservation?

You can only use the points you own at a particular resort to book at the 11-mo window.

You can certainly book SSR at 11 months and then cancel it if you find a reservation elsewhere. You aren't locked in.
