#1. Will "Home on the Range" be computer animated or traditional?

#2. What happened to the youngest daughter from Family Matters? I mean... does family really matter? they never explained it. After the first season or two - she just wasn't there...

It's traditional. I just saw the trailer for it yesterday.

And who really cares about the youngest daughter on Family Matters? She didn't matter, so they just ditched her. Not to mention the show sucked, so no one really watched it anyways.

And my question for you is: How do you come up with these mega-silly questions? :hammer: :hammer:

Beth- first of all... i have two words for you...

"I'm Not Silly"

secondly- do you have a sister? how would you feel if one day you woke up and she wasn't there. NO explanation, NO evidence, and NO ONE CARED... your parents are just like... hmm. i think i am gonna have a bagel today.

family matters was a good show the first 5 seasons... then...well... i agree- went downhill.

anyway.

sister. missing. no clue. what happened? how would you feel? that is my post recap.

If the show apparently sucked and nobody watched it, then why was it kept on the air for so long, and why do some networks still show reruns? The show lasted from 1989-1998, ran for 9 seasons and had 215 episodes. Shows that suck usually don't make it past season 2.

As many of you fans already know, episodes 142 and 143 in season 6 involved the family making a trip to WDW.

I enjoyed the show, but I'm not a huge fan or anything. The information in my previous post came off of somebody's fan site. I don't have any episodes memorized the way some people here have the Disney attractions memorized or anything.

I loved that show when it was on TGIF!! That's how I spent most of my Friday nights as a kid, watching TGIF! Did anyone else watch that religiously? Anyway, I always wondered the exact same thing about the daughter (Vanessa?) ...anyway, my best friend had thought she saw some episode when she died...but I don't recall anything like that. I'm still wondering.  :)

The youngest daughter was Judy; she disappeared because she just didn't "fit in". They could never find a story line for her...some casts are just too large. The same thing happened on Happy Days back in the 70's. The older brother Chuck was written out after the first season when Fonzie became a regular. And it just happened this season on Life with Bonnie (I don't watch this, but I just read a story about a daughter being written out). They never mention the missing character.

Family Matters is still shown in a lot of markets...just started showing again here in NY and the kids watch it all the time. Its dumb, but at least its a clean family show. (and my 9 y/o loves it )

Not really; its all about the ratings. Sometimes characters just don't catch on with the audience or lesser ones are sacrificed for the more popular. It happens all the time.

yeah - but... with NO explanation? i mean, they could have at least written her out of the script instead of her just VANISHING.

How? What would the story line be?
It seems much easier to just not mention them.

When Ron Howard left Happy Days they sent him off to the Army, but they just stopped mentioning him after a few episodes.
It takes less effort to just have them disappear.

This always seemed wrong to me, but thats the most popular way to do it. I honestly think they hope we won't notice. :brick:

eh - i guess you are right? i don't know - it would have been better to just say she went to live with aliens on mars or SOMETHING other than... just not being there.

i can't think of another show that did that - i wasn't a big fan of happy days...

every other show it seems like, wrote a character off...
