Two New Images From Pixar's Brave
Source: Empire November 14, 2011

Empire has debuted two new images from Disney•Pixar's Brave, hitting North American 3D and 2D theaters on June 22. The animated adventure features the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. You can check out the pics below the synopsis:

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In "Brave," a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Those 2 pics don't make the movie look good to me, for whatever reason.

Same here, though I've been put off by this film since I heard about it. =/ I really don't like what I've heard about the protagonist so far. I love Scotland and Pixar, but this movie will probably be the one film from the studio that I won't like. Something about that art style makes me cringe every time I look at it. The parts of the character (hair, eyes, skin) don't mesh together, in my opinion, and the character designs are too over the top caricature-ish to then have realistic hair placed on them. I really hope I'm proven wrong and that it'll have a good story, but it sounds very predictable.
