Twinkle Light Question

Um.. yeah they do. Go to products then Micro Lights. Thats them.
Um, no they don't. The lights in Disney's trees are NOT micro lights. Period. Each bulb is about the size of a grown man's thumb. Micro lights are smaller than a normal christmas mini light (the kind you hang on your indoor tree.)

The search continues for the CORRECT lights......

This is about actual size...more the size of a child's eyeball, not a man's thumb.
That's the same bulb in the initial pics I attached, and I put my thumb right up next to it, and it was the same size, so, whichever comparison you'd like I guess.

Hey all,

I just contacted Christiana Industries. They said they do not make Christmas Tree lights, but they may have made the socket the bulbs go into. I sent them a pic because they said if they saw one, they might be better able to ascertain what exactly it is.

Keep this thing going, we have to find these! :-P

Any news

I know this thread has been stale for some time but I was hoping somebody, someplace, had found something. Believe it or not I've been searching for these lights off and on for about 10 years.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can point me in the right direction.

Alright guys, Christmas time is almost upon us. Has anyone found any more info out about this? I can't seem to find these anywhere. Can it be possible that they are that hard to locate?

I found them.

I saw the ad for them on Southwest Airlines in SkyMall.

Just go to www.skymall.com and look for item #15320J, 15318J, 15316J

They come in 10 different style/color choices as well! I hope this helps everyone!

Yes, I have one of those bulbs in my hand right now. It is stamped with this number on the base PL10543.

Unfortunately those are not them. The bulbs in those lights are not the same circular ones found in the trees at WDW, these are more tubular. But thanks for the help!

Anywho, back to the original question. Where do we get these darn things?!? They don't seem like they are extremely extravagant lights or anything, yet we can't find them anywhere. Anyone else?

I have twinkle lights hanging up in my basement. They are a little smaller than my thumb (I'm 14). I got them from here... http://www.christmas-decorations-gifts-store.com/store/PPF/Category_ID/193_5/products.asp

Disney uses just the white ones, but they sell them in color here.

Hope this helps!

To get more results, do a google search for "c9 Twinkle" including the quotes and you'll get more choices!

Make sure you buy the "twinkle" ones. I think the clear ones on the page I game you aren't them, but the colored ones for sure are. Yeah, just double checked and the clear are on the page before that (page 4)

Again, not the same ones Disney uses, but thanks for the link anyway. C9 Bulbs are fairly easy to come by at any retail store such as Wal-Mart or Target. From the pics I posted, WDW's are clearly round.

Also, a child's eyeball? 2 things wrong with that comparison to size. 1, a child's eyeball is virtually the same size as an adults, being that the eyeball is one of the only parts of the human body that doesn't grow as a person gets older. (and I don't know how many of you have seen a full human eyeball, but it's about the size of a golfball.) 2, I touched these bulbs when I took the pics, and my original comparison of a man's thumb is extremely accurate. If an average grown man drew a circle on the end of his thumb as large as possible, you'd have the size pretty darn close. It's an odd size for a bulb, no doubt.

Anyway, I've read every post and visited every link posted in this thread thus far, and as of yet, no one has figured out where to get the correct lights.

To me, the most important thing is duplicating the slow and beautiful twinkle they have happening in the Disney trees. If you could get that happening with a different size bulb, it'd be just as cool.

I'll do some more looking and asking while I'm down there during the first week of December. If, for some reason, I have any new info, I'll be sure to post it.

This thread surfaces again, and still does not have the actual Lights that Disney uses.

The ones that I bought from the above site, though pretty, are definately different. They are very large and blink a lot faster. Disney's Lights twinkle ever so slowly and really create a magical lull whereas the ones I purchased are more exciting b/c of the speedier twinkle and larger size.

Let's hope this can be the Christmas Season where we can find the concrete answer!!:xmas:

What dept. or persons at WDW would be in charge of knowing exactly what they are? If we could just get somebody on the inside to ask someone in the know what the lights are called or the model number or something. I doubt the lights are one of a kind made exclisively by/for Disney.

Welcome to the annual "Twinkle Light" Thread... :D

Heh heh. I was thinking about these lights and this thread a week or so ago as I was putting up my own lights.

Now it feels like Christmas! :)
