I read on one of the boards that Tutto Italia in Epcot is due for renovations/refurb this fall - anyone heard dates? We have reservations there in mid-September - didn't know if I should be concerned!

They just need anything better then what it is! I ate there and was very let down by the food. It was not even good theme park food!

In my opinion, the quality of both the food and service has signficantly declined since it first opened. The last meal I had there was in June and I vowed never to return.

IMHO whatever restaurant operates there, Italy in EPCOT, should go for a refined, upscale menu and not try to tailor it to the tastes of what the general public in the US calls Italian food.

The better quality restaurants in Italy do that.

:slurp:

They should refurb it into Alfredo's.

Seriously.

Please.

It would make alot of people very happy.

And it's very expensive, especially for Italian food. Much more expensive than Alfredo's was. And not nearly as good.

Wow, me too! And I will never return unless they change it into another restaurant completely. This one stinks and it replaced one of my all-time favorites.

The Dopey Dining........errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Disney Dining plan takes a good deal of blame for this homogenization of Epcot menus.

Unfortunately there's a lot of simpletons that aren't open to trying authentic creations and won't purchase the Dining plan unless they can widely get the American versions of foreign food.

It's a shame! The DDP is here to stay (it's way too lucrative for Disney to end), and has undoubtedly had a negative affect on all of Disney's cuisine (especially at Epcot).

The food at Tutto was excellent when it opened, but haven't been back since 2007.

I thought the quality was considerably better than it had been at Alfredo's the last few years ... but the pricepoints are absurd.

Theme park pasta a la carte shouldn't cost $20-30. Again, thank the DDP.

I had a meal there for five people (one didn't have an entree) that would have been over $300 with no alcohol when the free dining was in effect. There's no justification for that in the real world.

Boy, temporary things sure tend to stick around for a while in these parts, don't they?
Pocahontas & Her Forest Friends
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Pooh's Playful Spot
Hunchback of Notre Dame Show

All placeholders, yet have/had long lives.

Why not the EPC 25 Gallery????:fork::lol:

I dont know I kinda like Italy. We had lunch there today in fact and it was wonderful, beautiful inside and comfortable, fantastic service and very good food. Yes very high priced but they all run about the same anymore. We liked the fancy but comfortable atmosphere, it was great all around. And cant wait to go back.

Off topic, we will never return to San Angel Inn, we started there today, had been seated for more than 20min and no one ever acknowleged us, or came over or anything while everyone else around us was being waited on. We got up and walked out. First time we have ever up and left a Disney restaurant, that place has a problem.

Bring back Alfredo's!!!!:(
From what I have heard the new restaurant will be run "Napoli". They have a restaurant in DD at DL and a Huge Restaurant in NYC called "Naples 45"

They have Great Food; FYI I go to Alfredo's in NYC fairly frequently. The quality at Alfredo's has been slipping.
I do agree with you though that Alfredo's in EPCOT Center was fun.

Alfredo's in New York was never as good as Alfredo's was in WDW. For example the Caesar salad was not nearly as good in NY however the Fettucine Alfredo was about the same (excellent!).
