Turning out the lights at Space Mountain

Interestingly I once rode Space Mountain when the lights for the people mover track were on. I'm not sure whether there are lights above the people mover track inside SM or whether they were brought in for specific work, however SM lights were definitely off whilst the people mover was lit up somehow. It was very strange and noticeable and I've only seen it happen once.

Yep. I've had the opportunity to ride both the PeopleMover and Space Mountain with the lights on. It's a very cool experience. I'll tell you though, riding SM with the lights on makes you re-think raising your arms during the ride. It happens in the dark due to the unknown, but with the lights on you literally feel like your arms will be taken off at the elbows as you pass under girders and beams.

Peoplemover lights come on in SM if the wedway stops. They’re just above its track and independent of SM.

When on it’s almost like the good old days when you could see the load halls from the ride.

I've been there many times when the lights have been turned on but interestingly enough... never been on the people mover when its been stopped
