They are no longer considered a snack.

If you really want one you would be better served paying out of pocket for one.

I'm not a fan of the turkey legs myself, but for those who can't go a trip without one - can you get one with a QS credit, along with some kind of side and drink?

You can use it as a quick service option. I know that the Toluca Turkey Leg Co. in DHS lets you use a turkey leg, bag of chips and a drink for a QS meal. Thats the only place we've ever gotten the turkey leg QS meal but we haven't tried anywhere else.

Yes, this past March I got one in DHS with a piece of chocolate cake and a drink for a counter-service credit.

I believe they're about $9.00 now.

This is amazing. In 2005, I remember them being $6.00 and many people talking about it being the bang for your buck meal since it's a 5 pound hunk of meat (well about 2.5-3 lbs if you don't count the bone). $9.00 is a bit much.

As great as a Galactic Gobbler (better known as Turkey Leg) may be, it is not worth using a quick service credit on. You can get way more food for the credit at a counter service restaurant. Try Pepper Market at Coronado Springs, I think Pepper Market gives you the most bang for your QS credit. There is more options than most if not all Counter Service restaurants on property, and all the portions are very big! also one of the only Counter Service locations where you get a waiter as well for drinks! its like table service for the cost of a QS meal.

I'd never thought about it like that, Unkadug, Kevin Yee's article was most thought-inducing. I would be very disappointed to see the QS restaurants disappear, I certainly hope it doesn't come to that. I enjoy a sit-down and re-charge of the batteries during the day but wouldn't want a full TS meal at lunchtime. I really don't like walking along eating, I even have to find a bench to eat an ice cream!
