Trip Report Tu in ‘25

Ever just the same

These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Since this intro needs a picture, here are Tu.

Em and I returned to the room for a couple hour break. We sampled our sweet treats and I received an unexpected call from a cousin about my elderly aunt’s passing. This naturally led to other communication within the family so there were no naps this afternoon.

We opted to grab a bite to eat at Downtown Disney. We dined al fresco (the breeze was back!) and this was our view -

Ah, my favorite Holiday Turkey sandwich from Earl’s! How I’ve missed you so!!

Em chose her fave - Earl’s Club.

Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious, despite a $2.49 increase (per sandwich) since the last time we ate at Earl’s (in Disney Springs.)

Then we ventured back to DL to use our free LL for MMRR. We opted to walk through Sleeping Beauty Castle since we hadn’t yet.

MMRR went down just as we got there.

So we criss-crossed the park to redeem LL#4, which I had booked during lunch.

Why did it have to be snakes?

It was touch and go for a bit!

But Indy saved us in the end.

I knew there was a (nother) reason why I liked you... The Holiday Turkey Sammich at Earl has always been MY favorite as well!! I even ate it once in NYC after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (otherwise ONLY at Disney Springs).

Upon exiting Indy, we ran into some familiar faces. You may remember this picture from the LIVE part.

Although @riverside ‘s nephew Joey is now, at 10, “too cool” to crush on Em, we haven’t forgotten his infatuation with her during their meet-cute in 2018.

And in 2022.

So how did the west coast Disney meet come about?

When Em and I were hanging out with @riverside at DHS in June, we told her about our trip to California. Patti said her sister E, BIL J and Joey were spending a couple days at Disneyland before their Aulani vacation, but she wasn’t sure of their dates. Two nights later when we visited together at the Outer Rim (with some Tigger guy),

I had a chance to talk to E. Not only would they be at Disneyland the same dates as Em and I, but they were also staying at the GRAND CALIFORNIAN!!!

Four weeks after our conversation in WDW, we were enjoying conversation in DL!

I’m so sorry for your loss.

I saw J & fam for the first time on Friday for dinner since they got back from Disneyland/Aulani. J sits down next to me & I asked him how the trip was. First words out of his mouth, “Did you hear? We saw Em & @Tuvalu at Disneyland!!”
And yes, he said Em’s name first. Maybe there still is something there & he is too embarrassed to admit it??
I love all the pics of Em & J!! Next time I see him I’m going to show him the post & wait for his reaction!!

Why??!!!

Of course we had no idea what “magic shot” we were posing for at the time. Am I to be smitten and proud that Em birthed a lion cub?

Yet that picture is surpassed by our all-time #1.
