TTA Customs

I seriously doubt the unenthusiastic CMs who get to walk on that platform for 2 hrs at a time actually watch those dated monitors. In fact, I've never seen them glance at them before.

You guys realize, of course, that they have MANY nightvision cameras in that part of the TTA. It's the WORST attraction to do this on, as you can always be seen.

Haven't you ever seen the monitors when you leave the station? The cameras are crystal clear, and they see all. If you don't mind being watched by several people, then keep it up, I guess.

Actually, there's only 4 cameras on TTA. Two are in the straight Space Mountain tunnel just after you enter. Both are mounted halfway down the tunnel, one facing one way and one facing the other. Then there's one each in the Buzz tunnel and the Epcot model tunnel. They essentially cover the three sections of track where the cars slow down, where there's more "incentive" for stupid people to jump out. (The assumption being that an idiot would more likely jump out when the car is moving slow as opposed to when it's going full-speed).

Not that I condone it, but for the poster who asked if people get yelled at for high-fiving the passing trains outside Space Mountain: with no cameras in that stretch, a CM would have to be able to see it happening from the load platform in order to yell at you. Of course, all it takes is one kid who sees others doing it and wants to copy them, leans too far out of the car to try and reach the others, and.......)

BANG,one unhappy kid.
to be honest i have tryed to high five numerous times and the gap between the 2 trains seems way too far to do it.

My mum always used to ride this while waiting for me and my dad to go on Space Mountain (not her cup of tea)
I think it was probably her favourite ride.....

TTA is always our first attraction when we arrive at the MK the first time in a trip and our last attraction before we return to the outside world at the end of a trip. It is our way of really being at Disney. We tend to travel in packs, our smallest trip being 5 and the largest being 20. Rule #1, no more than 3 people per car so there is "put your feet up room".

TTA is a great place to relax and also one of the best places to photograph the castle.

We like to wave at the cars going by, no high-fiving for us, we keep our "forward facing tentacles" inside the vehicle at all times.

My favorite part is hearing the audio on the ride, that you can hear pretty much anywhere in Tomorrowland. NOW APPROACHING..... I think its just a great concept and a great way to relax and get someone else to pull you around for a few minutes. I hope they do an updated recording for all of the new attractions.

Sit down and put my feet up and enjoy the breeze.

Never made out in the tunnels or seen SM with the lights on.

Do you have to get off and go thru the line again if you want to keep riding? I have always rode once and gotten off.

Me too! I love hearing the TTA spiels throughout Tomorrowland. "NOW APPROACHING..." Something about that sound just gets me in the Disney Spirit. :D

My family and I ride it to take a rest, take pictures and talk. It is wonderful to watch my 3 yr old get excited as we ride through tomorrow land. She loves to look at the people below. Some of the best disney pictures we have of her are on TTA.

It is definitely a must for our family. And yes - my friends and coworkers think We are CRAZY.

Hey if they want a free show then more power too them. Its not like I'm doing anything more than Heavy Kissing . I would bet that most of the CM's have better things to do then waste Disneys money watching those old cameras all day long. I think most of the time TTA is understaffed as it is.

We use it as our sit down and plan what to do next. Much more fun than just stopping in the middle of the walkway or sitting at a table. And it's a great break for my poor little feet.

On our very first trip I used it as a :snore: for my then 5 year old (who needs to go back to the hotel for naptime), I think we road around 6 or 7 times while she slept. The CM who was there was hilarious, would ask if we needed a blanket or pillow as we came back by.

AKA, every dark part of the ride where people think they can do what they want, which was the original point.

You can clearly see them when you're in there. They're the black boxes that shine the infrared red light. If you REALLY want to be able to see them, bring in a nightshot camera, they'll blind your camera, and your nightshot will blind theirs.

Deep thoughts

I do all of my deepest thinking on the TTA. I dream up new inventions, things I'd like to see in this world that we live in. Sometimes I fall asleep, and have visions of things I will create.

After the last time I rode, I came up with my best idea yet... you might even call it "THE GREATEST INVENTION OF ALL TIME - A TIME MACHINE!"

Sorry... thats just one of my favorite lines in the MK.

On the TTA - here's what I do:

ZONE OUT

TAKE PICTURES

LET MY STOMACH SETTLE AFTER FOOD

But most of the time I am thinking about what Tomorrowland used to be like when I was a kid. It's also fun to watch little kids from above...where you can't hear them!!!
