TTA Changes Name

Why do these Lands need elaborate back stories? It's Tomorrowland' The World of Tomorrow what more needs to be said?

Well Tomorrowland is my favorite part in all of Walt Disney World and I simply don't want it change for the worse. Also, isn't the point of Disney theming and stories? Without that it's just a six flags or run of the mill amusement park.

Your misconstruing my point of story. Let me make it a bit simpler for you, there is no specific story in Tomorrowland, in the sense of begining, middle, and end. There is an idea that this is a working city in the galaxy. The TTA helped supplement this "story" to Tomorrowland with the narration. This idea goes along with this article. Let's use POTC as an example like the blog did. No story specifically, merely a sense of theme and placement with show scenes. In TL, the theme is a spaceport and the TTA narration is like overhead announcements, that would presumably heard in a space port. It's not a story like a book, it's a story like sense of background.

I do find it interesting that they did leave in the TTA part. Perhaps, it is a sign that they aren't giving up on Tomorrowland'd theme? They could have easily renamed it The Peoplemover or Tomorrowland Peoplemover, but they left in the transit authority aspect of it. I shall not give up hope on Tomorrowland!

That is interesting. I guess there are some imagineers wanting to keep tomorrowland 94 alive. Good for them! :D

I think tomorrowland can be brought back to its 94 glory days. It just requires a good amount of fixing. I personally don't want to see a clean slate. Because there still is a lot left over from 94 that still works and can be made even better.

It gives the land so much more depth and believability. And its really the only land you can get away with that beacuse the other lands have foundational rules (like you can't call Adventureland a thriving community because on side you're in the caribbean and polynesian jungles on the other.). But since the future hasn't been written, you can do whatever you want.

Yes, I do hope that is planned with the TTA name still there, it makes sense, at least to me. That's also exactly what I was trying to say about the "story" of Tomorrowland.

:sohappy: Totally awesome and needed to be said. I really wish we could get a Lights of Winter-esque revolt going.
