TSMM advice

My friend and I are going to be in DHS on Sept 11. We are CA locals and have ridden the DCA version of TSMM many times.

I want to show her the queue in the DHS version. We can ride the ride, but we don't have to.

What is the best way for her to see some of the great details of the queue without waiting for more than 30 minutes?
Should we still head to TSMM at rope drop?

Any advice is appreciated.

I agree, the only way to avoid the massive line is to get there first thing and haul it right over there. Grab fast passes and than get on the stand by line, which could be anywhere between 20 and 45 min by that time point.

Skip the fast pass. If you get there at rope drop you might have a 15 minute wait. Then try to get a 6PM fast pass. Those might still be available by the time you get out of the ride.

EMH is a very good time to do TSMM. The line looks long but it goes quick, especially if you are just a party of two (they let you go to the other side of the queue at the merge). We did it three times last week during EMH along with everything else.

Well, actually, if you use Fastpass, you miss a lot of the queue, including Mr. Potato Head, but I guess you still see the loading area, which is the most impressive part.

I definitely don't want to miss most of the queue. I want to show her the viewmaster with the Disneyland slide in it.

I don't remember the loading part being that impressive. I think we'll just get there at RD and ride it.

Thanks for the advice everyone!!
