Trying to get a room for November?!?!

 Does anybody know of a "secret" way to get a Disney hotel room when they are supposedly all booked up?? We're planning just a long weekend getaway 11/8, 9, 10 but when I called reservations, they said everything was completely booked.....every room in every resort and I find that hard to believe. They even told me that the FWC was booked solid. I know it's Soap weekend and a holiday weekend but I can't believe not 1 room is available. I have heard that blocks of rooms are reserved sometimes and we have been able to get rooms when we just show up even when they're booked, but I like to have a room reserved before I go down there so we don't have to waste time looking for one......

Please help us!!!! My wife and I are both Air Traffic Controllers and we need a Disney FIX!!!!!!!

Thanks

Why is it going to be so crowded that weekend?

3 day weekend for most of us. In NJ, the annual 2 day teachers conference makes it a 4 or 5 day weekend for school kids. Also, Super Soap weekend at Studios attracts a sizable amount of soap fans. But either they are expecting larger crowds than usual this year or they've expanded the hours as part of the new customer friendlier strategy turn they've taken of late.

We live in the Raleigh area and we got married at Disney's wedding pavilion in 2000. My wife had never been to WDW til she met me and I took her in 1996 for her first visit....needless to say, she fell in love with the place. I have been going to WDW since 1971 (13 yrs old) and have been every year since!! In fact, the year we got married we went 10 times and never get bored!!
I'm sure this being your first time will leave you with memories the rest of your life!!! just remember, the magic is not done with special effects or tricks...the magic is done in your heart!!!

Thanks Ijones88! I work in Raleigh! Small World isn't it? I'll remember your advise about the magic being within your heart!! My son just turned 13 yrs old and this is what we are considering "The LAST family vacation with our "Little Boy"!! He's growing up so fast and I know that future vacations will be for a TEENAGER that doesn't want to hang with his parents!!!! I want to make this very special for all of us and I couldn't imagine going to a better place to make it so special! ;)

Don’t listen to them, I’ve got Disney Resort rooms at the Eleventh hour.

What you have to do is call up many times a day. People will cancel their vacation right up to the day they book. I’ve been told many times that the resort is 101% booked up- Every time I got a room.

1) keep calling
2) if you get one night start their , book it (you can work on the other nights later)
3) don’t give up

I second this approach..it has worked for us in the past.
