Is it doable to do 8pm fantasmic Show at Hollywood studios and then try to make it to California grill for a 905 dinner reservation? We will have a car.

It's approximately a 25 minute show and then with the time getting back to your car and out of the parking lot plus the drive time to the Contemporary (15 minutes), I don't think you'd make it.

Thanks that’s what I was thinking maybe a later reservation will come open I really wanted to see the fireworks from California grill.

Sit in the back row at Fantasmic and book a Minivan from HS to the Contemporary. The minivan will be able to pick you up at the HS bus turnaround and have far less trouble slowing at every gate along the way to the CR.

There's no guarantee this would work either but your odds would be far far better than trying to go by bus.

The traffic out of HS is still a mess even if they moved the bus stops. It can take just 30 minutes getting out of the parking area. Honestly, I wouldn't try California Grill and HS on the same night. Epcot and CG is more doable because of the monorail. (Take resort loop from TTC).

Also check the firework times at Magic Kingdom, if they are 10pm and you have a 9:05 there might be a long wait for seating as those who had 8pm reservations are stretching out their meal to stay for the Fireworks.
