Guys... i need your help.

I know it was pulled years amongst years ago...but i have to know if there's ANYWHERE i could find some sort of video of the old Honey I Shrunk the Audience Kodak Preshow with "True Colors" in it?

I remember it being a beautiful thing...even at such a young age. Does anybody remember it atleast?

Oh man...it was the most beautiful non-disney sponsor preshow ever created, trust me. That's why I'm dying to find atleast some sort of video of it if i can any way.

I remember it vaguely. It was so good that my parents actually went to Mousegear that night to ask them if they sold it on tape. It was THAT good. My parents aren't the type of people who would ever do that.

I know I recorded it but the quality is what I am not sure of. It would have been from a miniDV video camera. I do know there is a high quality recording of the song available though. If I come across it and the quality is good I will let you know.

I loved that show. I used to go and watch it and skip the movie, lol. It was so touching and I even copied the words that were involved and made collages with it for my best friends when I was younger. Let me know what you come up with!

I feel the same way. The True Colors preshow, even if it was ultimately just a big commercial for Kodak, was beautifully done. I, too, thought the same thing at a young age.

The new pre-show is just cheesy.

you're requesting one of the holy grales (along with stuff like the Space Mountain FedEx TV, and ORAC-1 source audio)

only thing I have is the audio from that show .. but thats it

It was a beautiful blend of music, lyrics, and imagery. It could actually bring a tear to your eye because some of the slides were easy to identify with.

I'm so glad that there are others who found this preshow so touching. I was especially moved after the birth of my first child. I felt so dorky getting all teary eyed over it. It's really quite poignant if you have children.

So happy I'm not the only one who loves it:animwink:

I guess there always has to be the one person who will digress from popular opinion.

But, I can't stand the new Kodak pre-show at HISTA. I purposely will try to avoid it. It is too long and corny. The kid with the frog really irriatates me.

Maybe my feelings also stem from the fact that you are forced to stand on an angled floor for God knows how long. At Muppets you can sit at least.

I loved the True Colors preshow - it made sitting through HISTA bearable. It was obviously a commercial for Kodak, but it wasn't a "ram it down your throat" kind of deal like the new one. It was beautiful and touching. I wish I had thought to tape it, but like othere here I only have the audio file.

I taped that preshow once but there was a screaming baby in the background...or was that pirates?...or FotLK?...oh wait that's right! There's was screaming baby or kid everywhere I went in WDW. :brick:

I too tried to tape it on a few occasions, but always had someone complaining loudly in the background about "oh there's no way I'm standing for a 20 min movie!" or "why cant I sit....etc." or some kid arguing, some adult ignoring the preshow and talking about what they were doing later, etc. and someone would always wander in front of my camera. So the audio was always bad. On one occasion I was lucky to not be around noisy people and I had a fairly good angle with no one blocking the picture, and whaddaya know.... a Disney cast member came up and told me to turn off the camera as there was no recording allowed. So.... alas, I dont have one either, though I've tried. Wish I could find it though - really LOVED that pre show sequence!
