Tropical Storm Paloma

I don't mean to scare anybody and its really not THAT big of a deal but its definitely something to keep your eye on. Unfortunately on weather.com there appears to be a tropical storm in the western Caribbean sea and it's moving North/North East.. Of course heading towards Mickey .. It doesn't look like it will make a direct hit as of now, but there will most likely be some scattered thunderstorms and it may be a bit windy at times and probably pretty cold. Look on the bright side, it should lighten up the crowds a bit .. It looks like I will be getting wet next weekend :shrug:

Well its a hurricane now ,but it looks like its going to go more east than north so it shouldnt be too bad.. maybe just some little storms and wind that shoot off the main storm.. I live in south florida and on the news they are saying good news for us. And good news for us is good news for orlando. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it stays the same.. Ill post any major updates

Paloma's forecast "cone of error" is nowhere near the Florida coast. I do not believe that it will create an impact on Central Florida at all. As a South Floridian, trust me, I'm happier than most. :sohappy:

I know! Can you believe it..this late in the season??? Geez! I spotted a random headline and nearly choked on my coffee this morning. We just had Ike hit us and we haven't had the house repairs finished for long. We already had to postpone our WDW trip from December to January to compensate for the $$ we were out on evacuations/repairs. Wunderground is showing 2 of their 6 computer models doing different things than the cone pictured in this thread. We just had a cold front roll thru the Texas gulf coast area last night. I just don't see the storm coming into the gulf or anything like that with these fronts pushing thru. I'll be keeping an eye on it, as always. I was just surprised at how late in the season this one is.

I guess if there's peeps out there heading out on a cruise they should keep an eye on the tropical updates.
