It's the resort arcades. Those dinky little "video games".:O
Oh, duh...that is what you typed!
Yeah, it is quite easy to drop some dough there.
I worked 11 years at CEC though, and most of the games (especially the ticket ones) are the same. CEC used to make us test every game twice daily. Not to mention just general play. I got quite good at them. One year the kiddo and I walked out of the Contemporary Arcade with around 2k tickets, and I spent around $20.
By law, the ticket games must be skill, not games of chance. So, even the trickier ones (like cyclone), there is a trick to winning it often. In fact, as a funny aside, those laws are commonly referred to as "Chuck E. Cheese Laws".
That being said, DisneyQuest and the Arcades also annoy me, because I worked with games for so long, dirt, poor maintenance. Also, easy fixes just make me want to grab my Gem key and fix it right there instead of waiting for a tech. Though, the same thing happens to me when I visit CEC. Last visit, I went and grabbed a game tech and was actually teaching him how to fix his ticket munchers (he didn't know how to disassemble the snap mech and tweak the brakes).
I could go on, but you get the idea. And yes, you are right...those arcades and sinkholes for money!
