Some new news on the upcoming Tron sequal. According to the latest issue of Production Magazine, the name of the movie has been changed from TR2N to........

TRZ

A plot synopsis has also been given. “After being transported into the surreal landscape of a mainframe computer to destroy an intruder (Tron), a programmer finds himself allied with the leader of a rebellion against a corrupt cyber-entity.” I think this suggests that perhaps the TRON program has become corrupt and Jeff Bridge's character and the programmer must stop it. As for the title change, it sounds weird. But I do have a theory on that. Z is the end of the alphabet. So maybe the TRZ is the name of a new program made to destroy the corrupted TRON program. Thats just a theory I have. What do you think?

From what was shown in the teaser, they had a "program" that looked like Kevin Flynn(Jeff Bridges) from the original Tron, exactly as he looked back then. They also showed Flynn at his current age. If the corrupt program is Tron, then it's an upgrade programmed by Flynn, since programs look like their "User." The thing is, the current Flynn was in the digital world as well and conjecture had it that he retreated into the digital world. One of the best comparisons I've heard, not that it's necessarily the case, is that Flynn has become a Colonel Kurtz style character(from "Apocalypse Now" for those that don't get the reference). So it may be that Flynn is now an insane badguy and the programmer has to try to stop his plans. Either way, I can't wait. I love Tron and have wanted a sequel for so long. The idea that it's going to be filmed in 3D just makes it sound that much cooler. Hopefully, it will not disappoint.

Yikes! Still over a year to go 'till it comes out? I still have, albeit slim hopes, this go around for the Tron "series" will get some park love, not exactly in the form of a complete ride, but some kind of representation, hopefully??

Space Mountain would have been obvious, at least with a connection to the new video games installed in the queue.
