There have been a few theme park tributes to Tron at DL and DLP.

In DL, the peoplemover (TTA at WDW) used to have a "Speedtunnel". This used a series of screens with film footage to make riders feel like they were travelling really fast. In the early 80's it was remodelled to the light cycle sequence in TRON - very cool.

At about the same time, several of the games players and enforcers were in the Main Street Electrical Parade all lit up. They were very cool.

Much smaller, but when the new Tron PC game came out in 2003, there was a games bus at the Disney Village where you could play a demo, as well a couple of character models standing outside the bus.

I remember the music being heard in Epcot back when it opened, but I have not heard it there for years.

I love TRON!

The only thing Tron I know of is at the exit of Sounds Dangerous. They have some voice over contraption that you do the dialouge to a film clip from the movie Tron. Pretty  , the kids think it is hysterical.

One of the planned ideas but never happened was the Tron Arcade for Epcot. Dont remember much about it though.
Yep, the TRON arcade was planned for south west Communicore. It never happened, and the area was used on and off for temporary displays until 1988 when Expo Robotics opened there. Oh, and World of Motion used the same speedroom footage from DLCs Peoplemover in it`s final speedroom too. This is the one piece of art I know of from the arcade:

thanks everyone...seems like it could have fitted in with the epcot 'theme'
could have been great simulation ride like body wars to get sucked into a computer game...still that ever gonna happen now! tron seems to have fallen by the epcot roadside, unless pixar attempt to remake it!

I'm glad someoe else wants a TRON ride! haha, personally I think that Disney should build a TRON roller-coaster in EPCOT, the ride would be built like a giant computer, with the obvious characters from the movie in the ride experience, they could do some really cool things, and I think it would be a huge success.

that is the bad side of movie-themed attractions....what happens if the movie bombs....as Tron did

on another note....I wonder if they could ever make a great attraction from a bad (or not popular) movie....

There`s the story we could have had a Mission to Mars V2 if the film of the same name pulled it off... instead we got Mission: Space as the name.

I can`t help thinking Atlantis would have been one amazing ride - if you`d seen the film or not. And Dinosaur didn`t do CTX any harm (although obviously the attraction was already there... the new name didn`t put people off)

Dinosaur made $200million......not really a flop.....

I am another one who would love to see a tron ride. I would like to see a remake of the movie kind of like what they did with casino royale. Just remake it and freshen it up a bit. I think it would do well at the box office as long as they used live action characters and not full computer animation. From there they would be able to see if a ride would be successful.

And I thought it was an underrated movie too. I can't believe I missed out on buying that one when it came out. I need to buy that, Treasure Planet and Brother Bear, all of which are some of my favorite Disney movies.

Tron, in addition to being one of my favorite movies, as RIDICULOUS amounts of potential for amazing attractions. Sadly, since the movie has come and gone, maintaining cult classic status at most, I doubt Disney would gamble the big bucks needed to make Tron come to life in the parks. Which is sad.

Tron=most underrated Disney film? In my book, yes.

No one from the current generation knows the movie and plus it a 25 year old movie. I think the window to open an attraction has been closed for a long time.

And here is where the Kingdom Hearts ride or...my favorite idea a "forgotten movies" ride would be great to give a place in the parks for Tron, Pete's Dragon, Black Cauldron, Atlantis, etc...

You know if you think about it Two different Roller Coaster Makers have Motor Bike themed Trains so the Light Cycles from Tron would work Perfectly if themed right and yes I might be Young But I OWN TRON THE 2 DISC SPECIAL EDITION and I LOVE IT, My girlfriend thinks im weird though.
