The sheer differences between the two. WDW vets, though they've never been, will make up every sort of excuse not to go and visit Disneyland, the dumbest I've heard is because the castle is smaller. "Disneyland only has two parks. There are no water parks! No Epcot, no Disneyland. Disneyland can fit in Magic Kingdom's parking lot. I can see someone mowing their lawn from Disneyland (that's one of my favorites). Going to Disneyland means I'd have to go to California (another one of my favorites). Quantity over quality! Disneyland is smack dab in the middle of Downtown LA (wow)". Excuses, excuses, excuses. Nevermind that it's the only park Walt Disney himself built. Disneyland gets hate all the time, for apparently no reason. I'm used to hearing these comments; they used to bother me but now I really couldn't care less.
Having been to both in the past 3 months I have to say Disneyland is the better of both resorts. The attractions have a better upkeep. There is a lot to do In Those 2 parks. It seemed to be a little bit more laid back and the people of Anaheim were friendlier. I lived in Oceanside and L.A. and went to Disneyland in the time when the parke weren't in the best shape, but now it's like night and day. Carsland and Indy are worth the trip alone. Jungle cruise and pirates were also great to see 100%. I usually go to Disneyworld 3 times a year now I'm going to DL and DW once a year. And if DW doesn't change soon I will be going to DL twice a year. Right now the only thing DW has over DL is universal is closer in fl

I'm glad you enjoy it. You could tell all of this to some WDW vets and they still wouldn't make the trip.

You made my point. Your parents don't want to go and visit Disneyland.
Oh yeah they don't think it is a complete vacation destination and feel like it would be to much to make a lot of bookings at different places. They also don't want to go the LA area because we really get uncomfortable in huge cities

I've tried and the majority will not listen. My favorite one is its more expensive to go to DL. Which is bs. For me it was cheaper by a lot

Yeah, I like Cars Land better, but at the same time, Carland wasn't a bad idea.
Since your'e a Disneyland Encyclopedia lol: I heard there were DCA plans for a Toy Story land? And what were the plans for the Incredibles ride?

Curious since i'm a big pixar fan

Orlando is just as huge and a lot more dangerous DL is just as much a vacation destination as DW. If not more so. Beaches, great non chain restaurants all within 45 min. and if you do the majority of things in the parks it will take 4/5 days. It was the most relaxing trip I've been on in along time.

Seems that your parents don't understand that DLR is an attraction and California is the vacation destination. No offense, whatsoever. This is the exact mentality that I'm talking about.

The problem is people think DL they think L.A. They don't understand they don't have to go anywhere near la if they don't want too.

LOL, a Disneyland encyclopedia! I love that title! LOL, good one!

I've actually never heard of such plans of Toy Story Land and an Incredibles attraction. The closest thing we've got to Incredibles out here is the Pixar Play Parade (I think DHS has this parade too?). I'd love an Incredibles attraction to go to any Disney resort, really. It's one of the best Pixar films, yet it's pretty much not used at all. I don't get it.

I'm not surprised. We've got a lot of people that are stuck, including ones here. I'm not going to waste my time and try to get someone to visit DL when they really don't want to.

Well I grew up going to WDW. I also worked at WDW. This year I had the opportunity to visit DL for the first time and WDW for the first time in over 5 years. I enjoyed both resorts.

Yeah they don't want to go to Cali for some reason they haven't told me. I think someone told them some negative things about DL

You don't understand the area that DW is in is not the greatest at all where as the area DL is in is much safer google crime rates of Kissimmee and celebration, then check Anaheim. Btw I drive the same way when I do drive, but if I'm taking my 10 and 12 y.o. I'm flying there's only so much are we there yet I can take
