Alright guys i need your help, im new to this site and i need some advice. Im taking my best friend Kimberly to Disney for her bday. She doesn't know it yet but we r staying at Caribbean Beach resort for 2 days and im not sure exactly what park to take her too. She's turning 20 but trust me we r kids at heart. I need some ideas on what parks to go to and what else we could do to make her bday the best, thanks!

Wow! Has she gone to Disney before?? If so, take her to her favorite park if she really prefers one.

If you two are kids at heart, I would do Magic Kingdom. That and MGM or Epcot (which is more "upper geared" anyway).

How much of a Disney buff is she/how many times has she gone?

And WELCOME TO WDWMAGIC!!
:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Im not sure exactly how many times...i know she's been to Grad night and i know she has been to MGM before. But i think Epcot may be a little boring for her.

Where to go?

First of all, welcome to the boards. Hope to hear from ya a lot here.

For me, there's no place like The Magic Kingdom. Main Street, now with Wishes each night. It truly is the most magical place on earth, and the most magical of the parks.

That is so nice of you to do that for your friend! I hope that you have a great time, I'm sure that you will!

Now, if only my friends would take me to WDW for my birthday.... :drevil:

Very nice of you. I would do Magic Kingdom because it is my favorite. Two days it tough because there is so much to see. You are staying 2 nights but is it only 2 days of parks as well or 3? I think if I had 2 days, I would do MK one day and the other day run my but off at Epcot and MGM to hit my favorites from those parks and then head back to MK. I do like some stuff at AK as well but not enough to do it if I was short on time.

All that being said, I would let her decide if she has been before. If not go with my plan.

Enjoy it!

So i got roses being sent to the room, im gonna take her to her fav restaurant (carabbas) and i also got tickets at the hard rock live for chingy whom she likes on top of everything so im hoping this will redeem myself....shes my best friend

We both have busy lives so we r only staying 2 nights, getting there september 2nd and checking in, going out to dinner, and goin to the concert...then friday the 3rd we r gonna do a park....i guess the best thing would be for her to pick a park. any other suggestions of things to do?

Nice Idea

I think this will make up for last year. Do do a little more plannning (we can help) with specifics of the trip to make it go smoothly.

I would plan on one full day at Magic Kingdom, and either Epcot, or MGM or split those two. From your comment about her being "bored", you will have to guess at what she would like better, Mission Space and Test Track or Tower of Terror and RnRC.

Next, to make her birthday extra special, be sure you inform the hotel of the day and when you go into the parks, go to Guest Services, tell them that it is her birthday. They will give her a special pin that will assure special treatment all day. Also plan the parks around the fireworks. MK is great, Epcot has Illuminations and MGM has Fantasmic.

I would also suggest you plan on nice dinners for her. You have a lot of choices at a lot of different budget levels. Give us a little more info and we can make some suggestions.

Also, try checking out www.allearsnet.com. They can give you menu's for most of the restaurants. There is also a section with hints about celebrating birthdays.

If you only have one day to do parks I would do MK. I would do these particulars first (In no order though) to make sure I got to them.

Pirates
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Space Mountain

After that I would pick and choose which I wanted to do next. Though I would probably hit Pirates, Splash and HM several times. I love them too much...

Those are only my choices on what I would do first and your tastes might be different. Whatever you do, try to plan it out a little bit once you first tell her. Maybe you can do it at dinner when you get there. Kind of map it out a bit. The other good thing about the MK is it is the one park you can get to all the lands rather quickly. In the others it takes a little longer to get around.

No matter what, enjoy it big time!

That's great. If you are kids at heart there is no place better than the Magic Kingdom. Seems to be the general consensus of the tread.

For some extra magic, try a character meal. I really like Chef Mickey's. Also, if you can spend a little more the Hoop Dee Do makes a big deal about birthdays.

Have fun!!
