Treehouse villas

Does anyone know if Treehouse Villas has ever had annual passholder discount codes? Would it just be part of Saratoga Springs?

They would think that they fall under the same "based on availability" clause that every other room falls under. While I have never personally seen one of the treehouse villas at an AP rate I have also not checked every single date during an AP promotion.

Do you think my best bet is to check discount codes for the villas at SS and see if a treehouse code comes up, or call at that time, then? Thanks.

Your best bet may be to make your reservation via Kingom Konsultant.
See link in the post above.
They will automatically watch for any room discounts that later become available.

If you are going to check on your own, then you would want to check for availablity at SSR. Since the treehouses are part of that resort you would have to check and see what is available there. You can call and ask as well, and someone at the reservation center might know if they are being offered as well.

In order to get to Treehouse Villas on line, I had to choose SSR as my resort, then check the box to change the category comes up, two bedroom, treehouse villa, etc. So the treehouse villas are part of the SSR categories.

Although this trip is for Sept, I checked AP codes that are out now as a test with a random May date and the AP code comes up for SSR for a two bedroom villa at SSR (which is the same rack rate for treehouse villas) but no check-in box for THV. So maybe they do not discount the villas. I may have to make a call to Central Reservations or contact Master Yoda if I can't figure this one out.

If it is not showing up then it is either booked up or not available with the AP code.

Plus, there really aren't THAT many Treehouses. If Disney/DVC can consistently fill them 100%, they have no reason to offer discounts on that particular room category.

AP rates are (mostly) to help fill empty rooms in resorts.

Not old, just vintage.
I doubt AP rates will be offered for the Treehouse Villas any time soon. They are still new and exceedingly popular. Many dates (including the entire months of July and August) are totally sold out and have several people on the waiting list. There just aren't enough units to meet the demand right now.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I may book for the Sept dates that I see are available now at rack rate which is around $550, not bad compared to the other villas.
