Traveling Alone

Hi! I am 15 and I will be going to WDW by myself this year (pleas read my blog, I am not explaining it all again ) I will be flying out of Hartford, Ct and connecting in JFK. AHHHH! Does any one have advice for me flying alone and any tips for connecting in JFK? Anything will be greatly appreciated! Even if you tell me to walk fast I will be happy.

Wow, well that's pretty cool your 15 and going by yourself. When I went on my first airplane alone, I was 13. Everyone would look at me weird, because well I was kind of small going all by myself. Just make sure you have your cell phone at all times, and just relax! You should be fine, remember your on vacation. Enjoy your trip!

I don't know how experienced of a flyer you are....JFK is a big place!

Don't be afraid to ask uniformed airport workers how to get to your proper gate.

Also...minimize your metal that you wear (no belts, watches, etc. Wear slip on shoes or sandals).

Good point about the metal. I have one of those belts with the big metal things that always goes off in the metal detectors at Six Flags and they have to search me. I guess I'll wear some tight shorts that day. Thanks!

How cool that you are going by yourself. I guess I would say get to your gate and stay there so you don't miss any announcements.

My DD is about to fly by herself to North Carolina. She isn't 15 yet, so she has to fly as an unaccompanied minor and I was able to get her on a direct flight.
