Some of the secrets behind the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort will be revealed in the upcoming Travel Channel program "Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes" on May 6 at 8 p.m.
"It's an hour-long special that will appeal to people who have never been to Walt Disney World, as well as Disney philes who are going to have the opportunity to learn more about one of their favorite places on earth," said Carole Munroe, account director for Broadcast Alliances.
The program is part of the channel's "Secrets" series that takes a closer look at some of the world's most famous vacation destinations.
"[The production team] covered every corner of our resort, uncovering all the cool things that we do on a daily basis that makes us so special," Carole said. "The 'secrets' moniker and behind-the-scenes aspect are certainly an enticement for viewers to tune in, but what they're likely to see is information that makes you think, 'Wow, that's really cool. I didn't know they did that.' It makes you want to come and experience Walt Disney World again or for the first time."
Viewers will find out about the origin of the Epcot theme park, Disney's FASTPASS, "IllumiNations" and more.
"Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes" will be followed by two more future Travel Channel shows about Disney's Animal Kingdom and Walt Disney Imagineers.
