We have dinner reservations one night at Ohana's at the Polynesian Resort. We will be at DHS that day. Should we take the monorail or the bus from DHS to Poly?

There is no monorail between the two, so bus is it.

Unless you give yourselves tons of time and take the boat DHS > EPCOT, walk through EPCOT and take the monorail to TTC and either walk from there or transfer to the resort monorail to Poly, not very efficient and would require a Hopper ticket or AP, but fun.

Well if you can willing to wait for the Monorail at DHS you might be there for a while! JK

Actually one thing you could do would be to take the DHS boats over to the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach Club Resort and then take their bus over to MK and then the Monorail or boat to the Poly. Or if you want a more direct route I would suggest taking the boat over to the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach Club Resort and then take a cab over to the Poly.

I suppose the question is, "how adventurous would you like to be in getting there?" As others have said, there is no monorail connection from DHS to the Polynesian. The most direct (and the fastest) route would be to take the bus from DHS to the Polynesian.

On the other hand, if you really are wanting to take the monorail, you could take the boat (as others have also said) from DHS to Epcot (which docks on the World Showcase side), walk through the park to the entrance, and catch the monorail from there to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer to the resort line and go one stop to the Polynesian. This would take quite a bit of time, so if your reservations are within an hour and a half of you leaving DHS, I would certainly take the bus!

Enjoy 'Ohana! One of my favorite restaurants on property. :D

Yes what Monty and others have said ^^^. There are a few options.

Suggest either taking the Polynesian / Grand Floridian / Contemporary marked bus from Hollywood Studios.

If you have a park hopper option, I might suggest walking from Hollywood Studios, along the walking path that takes you to the Boardwalk resort area, enter Epcot at the World Showcase entrance, walk through to Future World, exit Epcot and onto the monorail. From there, at the transportation and ticket center take a right into the Polynesian resort.

Or you can take the TTC bus from the Studios and ride the monorail to the Poly from the TTC. No boat ride or long walk through Epcot. When we stay at the Poly, we'll board either the Contemp/Poly/Grand Flo bus or the TTC bus to return to our resort, whichever arrives first! (The bus stops are next to each other.)

I would also add, plan conservative. Plan on about 1:15 to get from exit gate of DHS to Ohanas. That time period will cover 99% of transportation issues.

There are millions of ways to do it, but the bus is the quickest free way. If you're very tired and don't want to wait for the bus, you can take a cab. :)

I'd be at the bus stop at least an hour before my dining time.

Well that's what I was planning to do but somehow "monorail" kept popping in my head. I guess I don't need to tell you that I'm a blonde. LOL ;)
