Transportation fro resort to resort

Hey Everyone - Quick transportation question...

We are doing the Dining Plan for the first time this year and have a number of reservations at other resorts. Does anyone know if the resorts offer any kind of shuttle that will take from directly from your resort to another resort?

I know we could take a cab, or take a bus to a park and wait for a bus to the resort but I feel like there should be a more simple way! Thoughts???

Thank you!

:wave:They only provide transportation resort to resort for special engagements like Luau and Hoop-Dee-Doo, to my knowledge. It is easy really. Hop a bus to the nearest park then hop the bus to that resort. don't waste money on a cab. Take your time and relax. Have done it many times and never had a problem. Have Fun!!

Thanks for the quick reply!! We are doing the Luau this year so good to know! We are staying at Old Key West again this year, so I guess we'll just take the boat or bus to Downtown Disney and wait for our ride.

Thanks again!

Unless it's late in the evening, it's best to travel to the park closest to your final destination, or at least one that's close to being along the route to where you're headed. Going through Downtown Disney means you're traveling away from everything else in WDW, except Saratoga Springs. (And if you're heading to SSR, I believe the boat stops there before continuing on to DD)

So, from OKW:
Head to the Magic Kingdom for the monorail resorts, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.

To get to the Epcot resorts, go to the Studios and then take the boat (or walk). Alternatively you can go to Epcot and walk through the park.

Studios can also be used as a transfer point to CBR, Pop, Coronado and the All-Stars.

Animal Kingdom is your best bet for AKL. Or if AK is closed, use the Studios.

What rob562 said. You'll save a whole lot of time taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then taking the monorail to the Poly. And for other reservations, odds are you'll be better off taking a bus to the closest park and then doing a bus or other transportation from there.

One possible exception - I've read many forum members talk about how morning buses will often try to drop people off at other resorts if they have reservations for early breakfasts, before the park opens but while the buses are running. So, there's some options.

Thanks Everyone! The only one I was really worried about was our reservation at Boma at the AKL because I really can't be late for that. But our reservation is early evening so getting a bus to AK shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Thanks for the great advice!

I have reservations for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner show, and I'm staying at CBR. They'll provide transportation for me?

Not to get to the show. However, if you are attending the late show and it ends after park closing, they will provide a bus back to your resort. If you are shooting for romantic on that Luau, I would take a bus to Magic kingdom and take the water coach (small boat) to the Polynesian. Very romantic for you and the wife/girlfriend to see the moon reflecting off bay lake. Enjoy!!
