Transportation Commentary

[Lightning McQueen]

We are all aware of the spiel that is played whilst on board Disney Transportation "please stand clear of the doors...." on the Monorails, for example. My personal favourite include "...where animals roam free" when arriving at AKL and "whimsical features and ginger bread architecture of the conch republic..." when arriving at OKW. What sticks in your mind?

I enjoy it when you get on the bus at the end of a long day and they turn off the lights and the narrator says "You'll be home soon." because your Disney resort is the best home!

I do not like the new monorail spiel - it is terrible. The previous one - I would ride numerous times just to hear the overlay.

After a long hot day in the parks - that is so relaxing to hear on the bus.

Not a bad ride. Only 17 dollars and you get to ride it all day!

I have to say we haven't ridden the monorail in a bit, probably since we stayed at the Poly in 2010 so I don't think I've heard this yet.

My parents, without realizing it, picked up on another: "Have your tickets ready."

Parents: "What about our wrist bands? Do we need to get out the cards too?"

Me: "No, the wrist bands are your tickets. The announcement is dated."

It was 1982.... My family included my 14 year old sister and me, age 11, and my baby sister who was about 2....all we joked about afterward is that they would say something about taking small children by the hand....within 2 days at disney she would heard that line and have a Pavlovian response and just shoot her arm up in the air

Just hearing these always make me feel excited and I hear this one while I Drive in my car (Since it's the only decent recording of the spiel)
