Any tips on when the best time to visit Trader Sam's during the week? We are adult only and are staying at the Poly. We wanted to visit Trader Sam's at least once during our stay.

I suggest getting there right when it opens! 4:30 if memory serves me right. It fills up fast! If your the first ones in you can sit in your own little spot and check out all the cool decor. We went twice in Jan and really enjoyed ourselves! The rum drinks are tasty and the atmosphere is cool!

We got there before it opened and got buzzers to come in. By the time it opened, there was a full crowd waiting to get in. Very fun!

We were told to line up like 3-330 in the hallway near the door. We were also given buzzers but got right in as it opened.

I would advise getting there early if you want a good (interactive) seat..

I was hoping for a late visit, does anyone know how crowded the late night crowds are? I was looking at a Tuesday night with an estimated crowd level for the parks at 5.

When we went back in October on a Thursday, we got there between 9 & 9:30pm. (This was right before Halloween.) Walked right in - no wait. There were 4 of us. We were there about an hour & a half and there were always at least a few empty seats. I think with your group being just adults, going during the week after the kid cut off time, you should be good to walk in without a wait.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I will take my chances each evening we return before midnight. There are just 2 of us!

We have had no trouble getting in 6 times...both weeknights and weekdays....usually later.

Worst was the one time we had to wait 35 minutes for our pager to go off......just had an Uh-Oa on the terrace while we waited. Every other time we have walked right in and sat....including Halloween night - - all the pearls were black that night!

I wanted to get a look at the place on my last trip. Went to the podium and they said it was full and that there was a waiting list. I asked if i could just sneak a peak and not stay to get a glimpse at it. They said sure. So in I peak and was shocked to see that it was half empty. What a racket.

The times I have been there(8 times between October and January), if there was a wait it was usually about an hour at the most. If there is an open spot they fill it in my experience, unlike the previous poster, the only night I saw it not packed was the night of the NFC/AFC championship games, outside of that, usually have to wait for a seat or at least 1 member of the party has had to stand for a while. A couple times I've had to sit with other parties. They only let as many people in as there are places to sit, I think. Busier nights you can always wait on the terrace or head upstairs to Tambu as well.

I am planning on 2 maybe 3 evenings to stop by and check it out. We are staying at the Poly during the last week of April, so I do not expect a huge crowd. We are only 2 adults, it is a little
easier to grab seats. There is a Dole Whip stand nearby so all is good!
