I really could not disagree with you more, both with your opinion regarding Mizner's specifically and the monorail lounges/bars generally. Mizner's evokes extremely well the opulence that the Grand Floridian's theme strives for. The pictures you have posted both were taken during broad daylight, before the soft lighting and music are present. I have taken many first timers to Mizner's and they have universally commented on the rich and luxurious theming, comfortable chairs and intimacy of the lounge.
As to your comments about monorail lounges in general, what about the Top of the World Lounge at BLT? Gorgeous views, posh setting and a beautiful outdoor area. And, in addition to the Outer Rim at the Contemporary, California Grill's lounge/bar is outstanding, both prior to and after its renovation.

Wait, do you find the decor (and that was what I was talking about) interesting? Seriously?
My complaint was it was not evocative of the Designer they named it after... regardless of what it was originally used for... It's contract carpet , some tables and chairs and white walls...again, not evocative of the Mizner style... http://.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/disney-grand-floridian-misners-lounge607.jpg
