Toyota trying to take my Disney money!

For what it's worth, Ford never stands by their warranty. I take every opportunity I can to warn people of their shoddy vehicles and more than anything lack of customer service. How I can relate that to a Disney chat board I have no idea.

We've had the exact opposite experience. We had a '98 Windstar and the transmission went about 5,000 miles after the warranty expired and they paid for half of the replacement cost. They didn't have to do anything at that point but were very helpful. I have a '01 Windstar now with 127,000 miles on it and it still runs perfect. No problems ever!! We have always had Fords and most still ran great with over 100,000 miles on them. We always keep up on our maintenance and I think that really has a lot to do with it. You'd be surprised how many people don't even change their oil regularly besides doing anything else. I had a Honda Civic once, too. It left me on the side of the x-way. The engine blew with only 70,000 miles. Never had that happen with my Fords...

Yeah, why is all this on the Disney board anyway?!?!?!?!?

Well, I guess it shouldn't be but people talk about football & everything else on here so I didn't think that it would offend anyone. I guess I was wrong. :hammer:

My '02 Ford has taken me back and forth to Disneyworld from Houston 3 times, a 2,000 mile round trip. 6 years old and only had a broken rear headrest (child broke it) and a rubber boot tear on a suspension piece (ball joint), both repaired for free under warranty. Haven't even needed a brake job yet. But then again I take great care of my belongings.

I doubt anyone is offended. You're allowed a little recreational ranting.

I knew I was in trouble when I called Jaguar to find out the part number for a headlight bulb. They said to bring it in to be replaced under warranty, and that it can be a complicated task. This is great... until the warranty is up.
(I suspect it's the same bulb as in a regular Ford.)
