I totally agree!! Get there when it opens and make a beeline to it. Get a fast pass so that you can reride it but get right in line. Fast passes are always gone by 11 am.
I must say that we rode this about 6 times on our last trip. It is sooo much fun. Each time the ride stopped for a minute or so due to wheelchairs getting on and the such but rest your hand during this time because it is very tiring. I switched hands often. What an awesome ride, though!! My 4 1/2 year old rocked at it, too!!![]()
We actually have ADR's for Planet Hollywood @ Lunch this day and wont be arriving to HS until around 2pm. It is however on an EMH at night day...so we will have a couple hours after Fantasmic to enjoy some rides as well. Do you think us not arriving until 2 pm will put a HUGE damper on the day? We will be there on Dec. 14th. :0)
My advice is to get in line in the 30 minutes before closing. It'll be long, but it will move much quicker thanks to Fastpass. You should be outta' there anytime 30 minutes after closing in my experience, plus it feels great to vent off the frustrations of the day by popping balloons and smashing plates.

While I love WDW, I have to ask ... does TSM really merit a 1-2 hour wait???
