Toy Story Mania, Fast Pass?

We were at DHS Sept 23... and the Standby line was 110 minutes!!! All fast passes were given out by 12. We got our FP at 9:30am and it was for 3:30pm!

FP wait time was about 10 minutes.

Get your fast pass, then hop in the regular line. Your fast pass time will come up about an hour or so later, at least thats how it was in February.

The only time I have seen the standby wait drop below 40 minutes was during a special event.

I guess I won't mention the time I did 5 rides by getting off, and walking back through an empty queue then. And the last time they just had me stay in my ride vehicle. I was very pleasantly surprised to see no line that evening for the event.

But beyond freak occurrences like that, as PP's have said, FP's are gone within hours of opening. Last week other rides were walk ons, and TSM still had hour plus waits.

I actually expected there to be little to no lines that evening. I am at WDW all the time so the attractions were of little concern to me and it seemed like 99% of the attendees had a similar opinion. I was having far to much fun at all of the special shows and events. TSM will be there tomorrow....Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom not so much. All we rode that night was Star Tours and TSM. My daughter and her friend hit RnRC and ToT and both were walk on with less than half full ride vehicles. Save for Epcot's 25th is was my favorite day in a Disney park.

Easter week will be super crowded , just so you know....
We went once during our April school break, which happened to fall on Easter week, and it was the most crowded I've ever seen there.

Well ill be down there for NY's Spring Break so hopefully it isnt too crowded

We vary with our approach depending on what is happening. Sometimes there is a huge mob around the fastpass as soon as the park opens, in which case we go straight for the standby line. This tends to look huge but moves really quickly when the ride first opens, and of course there is no fastpass line to filter in. Usually we are on in a few minutes, by which time the fastpass debacle has subsided somewhat so we pick up a fp for later.

I've never waited more than about 30 minutes, usually considerably less. I do like it but not enough to wait for more than half an hour, I think its massive popularity probably stems from there being limited rides suitable for all ages at the Studios.
