SDL is actually a pretty good park.
And what's good about it, Mr. Junkie?

I prefer Pixar Pier because at least it isn't 11 acres built from scratch and it isn't pretending to be something it isn't. Toy Story land has the combined hourly capacity of half an incredicoaster and they ran a national ad campaign to draw an extra 20,000 people into that park every day where they'll have nothing to do but eat brisket at Andy's Lunch box. All the reasons people are saying Pixar Pier is inferior are the very reasons I prefer them. They weren't going to demolish the existing infrastructure and give us discovery bay. DHS started from scratch and THIS IS WHAT THEY BUILT?

Good points, although I think they did a pretty hefty national campaign for Pixar Pier/Fest too.

Pirates, Adventure Isle, Camp Discovery, Pirates Stunt show, Tarzan show, the food, the resorts, and I could go on. It's in Shanghai as well which is a great city.

Side note: Many of the stereotypes about the Chinese are way off.

Nah. Those all suck. Call me when Shanghai Disneyland gets a Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Frontierland, or a real Pirates of the Caribbean.

No contest: Toy Story Land. It's added 2 solid rides and some fun landscaping to DHS (I personally think it fails at being a real land, as it comes across as a jumbled collection of giant, motionless character statues... kinda creepy...

But Slinky looks great and A. S. S. is a fun ride, and nothing in TS Land ruined an existing fantastic roller coaster by turning it into a heap of poorly-executed "catch-the-baby" obnoxiousness. It's also refreshingly lacking in Urine-gag cones, dead Bing Bong tears, and a forthcoming lame-o recycled Flik's Flyers.

But I gotta say I prefer the Pixar Pier *FORUMS* over the TS Land forums. The Florida forums seem kinda infested with vloggers who see social media as their entire reason for existence, gush praise for "all things Disney" as if they were paid plants, and demand that anyone with a different opinion should be quiet and stop spoiling the "magic." :D Corporation-worship kinda blows my mind.

Never queue in front of a Chinese tour group unless you want to make "really close" friends. They are not great on personal space. They will shove you out of the way if there is something to look at.

I love that we can disagree about things in this forum and I can still like people's comments and smile even when I don't like what they're saying all the time. It's fun. I've hidden posts by two Disney worshippers because it was clogging up the rest of the content I was trying to sift through but I'll still show hidden posts from time to time :))) lol
