Putting this out there before it slips from my thoughts...

For those who think this land will be too tame, I would love to see a fence along one side of the area through which you can peek into Sid's back yard, imagine odd combo of toys walking about, explosions followed by maniacal laughter, perhaps even Sid's face suddenly looking back at you through the fence.

But what exactly does that mean? Most of the SoA are just fake facades over other attractions. How much of what is behind those facades goes with it?
It means they will have commenced construction on THREE new lands in 15 months and have opened them all within five years from this moment. Expect LMA to also close (to the sound of three crickets) early next year. I would not expect ANY of the backlot to remain once they are done.

I will be curious to see if there is any announcements regarding the Indiana Jones stunt show.

Number of trips to the bathroom I'll make while waiting in the standby line? Number of times I'll chastise myself for waiting in line? Number of times I'll hear "let it go" while on the ride? Number of actual changes they will make load/unload area? Number of heat strokes per day from standing in line for attraction? Number of times people will try getting in front of me in line while I wait? Number of drinks I will need after I get off the attraction? Soooooooo Woody is giving Ariel the boot?

That's what it sounded like to me. Remember Mermaid building is before the entrance to TSL. I can go for that, even if there's been some mixed reactions towards the musical. I'd prefer something different but I wouldn't be disappointed in the choice if this turns out to be the case.

I suppose that's possible. The concept art suggests a show building behind the "hotel" facade that might be a show but it doesn't seem to me to line up with the VOTLM building (granted that concept art is necessarily totally accurate with building placement). The vibe I get is that VOTLM is being replaced by a different IP and if Toy Story is getting a show of some sort it will be a new build.

That said, I'd prefer that TSL not get a show but get an extra ride instead. DHS needs rides far more desperately than additional shows, though there's certainly a question as to how many of the current shows are going to survive the makeover.

Why have two shows right within distance of each other like that? IDK, doesn't make the most sense to me, but who knows? I'd say the most obvious choice is put a Toy Story Musical in the Mermaid theater. We don't really know exactly how they're working Animation Courtyard into the plans except that it's a hodgepodge at the moment. I just don't know why they'd not use that space. Seems silly to not use that space and then build yet another theater. TBH, the last thing the park needs is MORE shows. Updated shows, yes.

I'd rather another ride also. There was that blurry spot behind the Woody's Roundup area as you said, I was hoping it would be the Woody/Bullseye ride. I guess it still could be but they wouldn't have left that out of the announcement? Makes no sense to do that. (And I'd guess the Mermaid showbuilding would be in that area?). I also assumed the Woody's Roundup facade would just be an elaborate meet and greet for Woody.

I agree, wish it was different. But it's something new. And it's something that isn't Voyage of the Little Mermaid. So that's a major plus.
