THE latest photos reveal just how bare and flat the land is without the original rock work design that dynamically set the coaster in a fully realized environment. Stop value engineering.
What is it do?There's just a little thicket of rebar in front of it on that side, obscuring the view. Look closely and you'll see it behind them.
To everyone who has done the AP soft openings in the past, when would TSL possibility start to have them this spring? Thank you!
Awesome. I’m not shy about talking to Disney through the email or at the park surveys. I’m honest about what I like and disagree with. I’ll start to look out for the AP email. This land is my dark horse project. I hope it turns out to be wonderful. I’m smart enough to know it won’t be on the level of Avatar or Star Wars Land.Be on the lookout pretty much any time starting in January for an email about details though and be ready to jump, jump, jump and don't expect to get to go because they've done an absolutely horrendous job with the way they've managed the last few of these over the last several years.
They've been doing it through email and then on a first-come-first-serve basis which would be sort of fair except that in the case of Avatar for instance, all dates were full about a day before they finished sending out emails with the special link to notify people.
Here's to hoping they will notify everyone in advance of a date to go sign up so we can all crash their servers hitting them at once and then complain about that!
... But seriously, if you really want to do this, now would be the time to start voicing your opinion about how they can do a better job of notifying you and everyone else: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/help/email/
Art for Shanghai's Toy Story Land has come online, including the Woody's Roundup ride that was originally developed for Florida.

It's probably the most charming looking of any of these Toy Story rides they've developed after Buzz and that's kinda sad.
Putting this kind of junk into a castle park is just sad to me...Art for Shanghai's Toy Story Land has come online, including the Woody's Roundup ride that was originally developed for Florida.

Yeah, but theming makes a difference. Swirling Saucers does kind of a generic take on The Claw, but Round-Up looks straight out of the movie with the puppet show's sets and the memorabilia. Like yeah, it's still a kiddie spinner, but it's a kiddie spinner with atmosphere. We are essentially getting Woody's Roundup just with a Buzz Lightyear theme.
Sorry that all looks like garbage to me. I love that we are getting an actual coaster, exclusive to Florida.Yeah, but theming makes a difference. Shanghai isn’t all that different from Orlando in terms of rainfall.Don't forget WDW needs a roof over its whip ride so it can run in the Florida rain. That's probably why they went with the Pizza Planet playset theme instead.
Not much different than the Toy Story Land's in HK or Paris. That Shanghai expansion looks more like something you'd see at a Cedar Fair park, to be honest.
The coaster is a smart combination of the garbage you see in the other Toy Story Lands. Like who needs the weird RC halfpipe coaster and some Slinky themed Himalaya when you could merge the concepts into something more substantial?Sorry that all looks like garbage to me. I love that we are getting an actual coaster, exclusive to Florida.

The Round-Up artwork looks great, but it will really depend on execution. The Bullseyes are very likely not articulated, and that will stand out as more odd than say a tractor or spaceship. This ride seems to have half the capacity of its sisters. It's also shown completely uncovered, so I'm not sure how it will fare in the rain.
One benefit of the Saucers is that it could include better sound and some interesting lighting, especially at night.
