Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Hopefully there's good changes to this project I know that it's kind of rare around here lately though...
At this point, I've kind of given up on the unrealistic dream of mine for it to become a highly themed, multi-franchise Pixar Place :p
But I still hope we see some sort of upgrade...I mean, we have to...right? I just don't understand how this land expansion can only consist of a flat ride and a mediocre at this point coaster. At the very least they should add another flat ride. Or maybe instead bring Slinky up to E level (with 7D-esque dark ride show scenes). I don't know, something.

They will likely add screens much like the Disney springs garages but they will be fence picket shaped. It's really the most affordable solution to theme the area without going overboard.

Exactly this would've been an awesome area with Pixar mini lands showing off their best properties. They could've had monsters door coaster and laugh floor plus slinky coaster add in maybe rat or move the nemo show and it would be amazing. Sigh what could've been... But agreed slinky needs to be at least 7D level. The land can't get much more barren we can only go up from here (hopefully)

This is why SWL should've been put up front...

Toy Story Land <Pixar Land. A Pixar Land should look like Pixar's campus, similar to Pixar Place now. Lots of brick, and a big Luxo Jr/ball icon in the middle. Keep the bricking theme with a beautiful courtyard the overall aesthetic, but each building/section representing a different film with various accents added (similar to Midway Mania now) to the brick theme. 2 rides, meet and greets, and a restaurant (Remy's?). It would be amazing!

Which has been there since 2008 and would still be there if this whole land was to be dropped. The main draw of the new attractions is Slinky. Without it there's no point to the expansion.

The "point" of this expansion always seemed to me just to get some additional rides in the park to up capacity prior to SW being built. I don't think either of the TSL additions is expected to be a "draw", just that they would add more things to do.

That said, I think they'd be better served by dropping the coaster and adding two rides in its place (preferably some dark rides). It takes up a lot of real estate for a relatively short, limited capacity ride while the park needs multiple additions to really round things out.

As many have mentioned, a larger more fleshed out Pixar place would have been a better addition to DHS than a sparse one IP land like TSL. Of course, when TSL was announced, it seemed like an additional IP land (apparently Monstropolis) was also being planned, so it made more sense for a land based on exclusively on Toy Story. Since that land is seemingly off the table, it would be nice if they would revisit and expand the idea for TSL.
