I recognize the rest, but what movie is this character set supposed to represent? I just can't make any of the characters out.

If anything, the Disneyland Hotel is the best of the three. That one doesn’t need to get touched.I really wish they would just bite the bullet, bulldoze all of the old Disneyland hotels and start over. Grand Californian, you can stay. Clean the slate. No matter how many times you overhaul them, they will never really feel like Disney resorts, because at their core, they weren’t built that way.
But then again, the new Disney hotels aren’t that amazing either. I miss the era of 7-ish story, ground-hugging, completely architecturally themed hotels that they used to build. Not towers that have a vague architectural decoration implying a theme. Looking at you Gran Destino and Riviera. And no matter what you do to the hotels at Disneyland, they will never be more than a hotel tower with decoration standing in for theme.
I have no problem with the GC or DLH. I’m happy they are doing something to Paradise Pier, just not sure there is enough lipstick for that pig.If anything, the Disneyland Hotel is the best of the three. That one doesn’t need to get touched.
I think the rooms at GCH could use updates, but other than that (and the prices), I don’t have a problem with it either. PP is clearly the biggest issue, but yeah, I don’t want to see yet another Pixar overlay. More lamps and play balls, yay.I have no problem with the GC or DLH. I think it will do great with families TBH. Unlikely I would stay there…though it’s unlikely I would pay to stay at any Disney hotel in Anaheim again given the pricesI think the rooms at GCH could use updates, but other than that (and the prices), I don’t have a problem with it either. Completely agree on your latter point, but disagree about Toy Story overlay. There's too much Toy Story presence in general. It's so weird... It's not like they have Lasseter's ego to stroke anymore.
Honestly, I'd prefer a Toy Story overlay. Toy Story Land (found everywhere except Anaheim) is cheapness at its MOST charming. The absolutely most creative bang you can get for very few bucks. Why not do that instead of this? This looks just as cheap, but not nearly as fun.
And it WEAKENS the Pixar Brand. I thought giving them the whole Pier was bad, this is so much worse. They used to be the Mercedes Benz of Animation Studios. Now they're getting the Nickleodeon Hotel treatment.

Over it. Done. Stop it.
Honestly more of the last three if anything. It seems like they barley touch their own catalogue outside of princesses. They care about jamming as much Disney Pixar Lucas Marvel IP in your face as possible, so it seems.
Ugh. More Pixar branding garbage. Some concept art has been released -

that's what happens when ip becomes popular. look at hocus pocus - it used to be a fairly-niche obscure disney treasure and now disney is milking it for all its worth and will shove it down your throat if it means you'll give them moneyThey used to be the Mercedes Benz of Animation Studios. Looks better than what’s there now but still not a $500 a night hotel. Some concept art has been released -

It's like going to someone's home that just has photos and paintings of themselves as art. Very weird. Also, the knock-off Mondrian on the porte-cochère is there because? Mondrian and the Pixar ball both use primary colors, but that's kinda flimsy.WDI's reliance on the Pixar Ball is strange. They slap that anywhere they need to make Pixar the 'theme'.
Pixar isn't a theme, it's an animation studio.
Imagine if Walt said- "And the heart of Disneyland will be Walt Disney Animation Land"
I see Woody and Bo Peep now, but why does Buzz look more like Baby Yoda in his capsule thing more than Buzz Lightyear?Woody, Bo Peep and Buzz?
